There is nothing wrong with sharing this facility because all of the youth players from both clubs will be funneled towards ICST Pegasus.

Reedie it will make no a bit dif. If you funnel all the kids on to one club. As soon as they finish U18 there is no place to go. Kids must make money to stay in the game after the youth program. All this is soccer schooles and no more. Old boys club trying to control all.
Kids have been lied for years. NASL in Kelowna, Calgarey, Victoria,Saskatoon.Winipeg Hamilton and Ottwa is the only way forward.
Toronto Montreal and Caps will have seven 8 Canadian kids rest will be forn players.
Unless we do the NASL part it just does not matter what you do with your youth program. Watch the game tonight Canada vs Panama and you tell me that is World level soccer. No pace no skill and no hart to attack. I call it lack of local Pro league.

A friend from Burnaby has a son playing for the combined cccb/sys u13 metro boys and they have only just finalized the team .
Conflicts between coach,s as one of the coach,s wanted the team but he also wanted to include nearly all his players from last season even though most were not metro level.

How can there be conflict between coaches? One guy is head coach. Tryouts are held. Head coach picks the team.

Head.Out.Of.Arses.

Half the kids will have quit soccer by u15. Heard it here first.

This has to be a good thing for all parents from SFC. Their parked cars at the field will now be safe from theft as no one shits where they eat!

Isn't CC/SFC the club that was telling players not to try out for any other club's BCPL team, saying that they wouldn't be allowed to come play Metro back at CC/SFC if they didn't make it? Or is that just a nasty rumour?

U13G CCB scheduled a practice for their girls on the same night and time that the nearest BCPL team was holding their first ( or second? ) evaluation session back in March and were told that the practice was mandatory if they wanted to play that coming weekend in a tourni they were taking part in.
Rumour?...maybe, although it's one I have heard from several sources, one being very reliable.

It's old news now, but still cheap.

Not easy for parents and kids alike to have the courage to stand up to that, particularely when your team is very strong and you know you're part of a good thing being on that team etc....but the opportunity to "look" and truly evaluate the BCPL as a parent / player was kind of shut down early.

It may be "old news" - but when this "nap" person comes and trumpets how great CCB/SFC are, while they are basically holding their players back from playing at the highest level ... how is that good for player development?

I agree completely, I'd rather see a bunch of those great girls on the local BCPL teams as that talent would both a) help validate the BCPL teams in the area and b) challenge those CCB girls ( AND the BCPL girls ) to a greater degree.

Instead those CCB girls will spend this next season just kicking the crap out of their Metro competition. Fun? sure. Trophies? definitely.

Come on CCB parents, get your kids playing BCPL! : )
