There is a whole video on line showing how she participated in the whole "path blocking" of - who was is, speaker for the house?- and she's having a laugh. Trudeau then intervenes to help his party member though.
I'm no fan of Trudeau, but it looks like the NDP party members were intentionally trying to stir things up. Kinda like kids in a school yard when the bell rings for recess.
Background on the issue. First, the Liberals limited debate on the assisted suicide bill, then they presented a motion to change the House rules to further limit the opposition. In response the opposition staged a protest with a fake blockade. The Conservative whip told Trudeau to let go of him when Trudeau grabbed him.
The Liberals precipitated the event, the opposition reacted and they all look silly, and the media ate it all up. Its sells newspapers/ads
Not a Trudeau fan, but had no problem with his conduct in any way.
The real shame is that this got in the way of an important debate to bring about important change. I'm not sure this debate would ever occure under Concervative rule, and I hope the can pass it.
Study shows that many BC schools have lead in drinking water. When we send our young kids to school we expect them to be safeguarded but the Ministry of Education has been asleep on this issue. In some places they don't bother testing the water as if no tests means there is no lead. http://vancouversun.com/news/local-...r-across-b-c-province-moves-to-annual-testing
I am still reeling from the news on Gord Downie. For me, the Hip was the best Canadian band to emerge from Canada from the 80s onwards. I have seen them a bunch of times and hope to see them one last time. He was clearly ahead by a century.
