A very well played match by the Bhoy's considering we played with a juggled line-up today. McCartney Creek Park is a great pitch that held up incredibly well in the torrential rain.

Outside of providing Shaheen with one goal-scoring opportunity early in the game, we controlled the entire first half and went into the break with a deserved one-goal lead.

Second half saw Shaheen come more into the game with a couple of smart substitutions helping their cause. We defended doggedly and caught them on the fast-break time after time but didn't finish our chances. Thankfully we didn't pay for out missed chances today as Shaheen's best opportunity came off a corner that was cleared off the goal line by our sweeper.

A very satisfying 3-points that keeps us in the mix, gets us back on track, and takes us into next week against Royal United.

Sap CAT 4 - Norvan CAT 1

For the most part, most CAT teams are slightly below the Divisional level counterparts, but this Sap Cat team can compete with any team in regular Div 1. We have shored up our goalie situation and took it to a confused Norvan team.
Paco, ex-Croat professional, was superb as the 42 year-old beat 2 defenders and curled a whicked floater into the top corner of the net. Gord Sanders with the magnificent header for the winning goal. Cam Taylor and Serg Biljetina rounded out our scoring midway thru the 2nd with 2 clinical finishes. Cam's was an incredible full volley from a Joe Alaveri cross....that guy is still one of the best this league has ever seen.
After that performance, Sap CAT is ready to take on perennial Div 1 team Sikh Temple during the winter break.
