With the new seeded draw procedure for determining the teams for the three pools, the unbalanced schedules between the pools means that Division 3C wrapped up this past weekend. Congrats to GFC Lions who are the first team this season to secure promotion. Quite the roller coaster for the Lions who two years ago failed to win a game at this level before finishing second last year and narrowly missing out on a bonus promotion spot via a playoff. In the other two pools, the former CMF U21s (now playing under the moniker "Lobos") are hoping to fend off a late challenge from recently relegated Euro FC who are trying to bounce straight back up. They have a four point lead with four games to play and a look at there schedule indicates that they should likely be able to see this one out. In 3B things are slightly closer with Siaron, who have been bridesmaids now for a couple of seasons in the promotion race, trying desperately to reel in Marpole Tropics. Marpole have a six point lead but they still have a head to head meeting to come with Siaron and Siaron have 21 minutes to potentially rescue the points from an incomplete game with Metropolitan that they currently trail 3-2. So there may still be some fireworks in that race.
