Looks like look like Game 12 will feature a Division 1 side, who has a bye in the prelim round, hosting the winner of a prelim game (Game 4) between two Premier sides, both Imperial Cup Champions this last decade, for the opportunity to play said Div 1 side.

That's the beauty of cup play, Sir M..........FA Cup has the same sort of random excitement. One could argue that both Richmond FC teams shouldn't be playing each other if the Div. 1 team gets by NK Hrvat........but that would be a great game to see.

excellent site indicates the first two rounds are week of feb 18/19/20 and feb 25/26/27, so both weeks of scheduled prem games will be affected for those that are participating in imperial cup.

i expect they didn't want to wait until after the premier season was over because the div 1 season is already finished. it'd be a long lay off for the Div 1 teams.

I read the 'Why?' as a joke at Dezza's expense (who may I say is sporting a rather spiffing new logo), for stating the glaringly obvious that premier teams playing in the cup would have to postpone their league fixtures.... Captain?

pitch held up suprisingly well, but tough playing conditions regardless. we went up 1-0 on a nice near post tap in. the game changed at about 35 mins when our left back stopped a header from going in with an outstretched arm and they buried the pk. looked daunting being down to 10 men, but the lads actually played far better and hungrier. we were rewarded at 75 minutes when a goal mouth scramble was bundled in. gutsy effort by the boys. on the quarters....but more importanly, back to a vital league match next week vs inter.
