New stuff: PCOV and Westside B teams are over 40's - who's made the move? Peter? SCP? Cliff Ave now with 2 teams; the A team is Danny Edgar & Co; B is run by Jim Best. Olympiakos from Div 3 gone to over 40's. New: C-Men, Bombastic, and (obviously) Surrey Utd.

Regs: Not that different from a few years ago when we played you on the turf at Burnaby. Yes, T.V. I'm still playing this year.... Although a few of the guys you mentioned have retired.

I saw that Regs..oh, my . Do the standardbreds still run out there on Sat afts? There must be one of those bars with the girls with white hats, and acid washed jeans, (feathered hair and kind of a wide bum?) maybe those white boots with scuff marks on the back of the right heel...and a motel with a poker table...could be a weekend road trip .

Anyway, the Power Rankings staff will not be coming out it is reported with the new rankings until after week one, but anyone want to take a stab at who will win and who will be relegated in the two Prem divs?

Things will be a lot closer this year, WV, MF and Columbus being favourites on the one side, SU, Inter, WS and the BC Champs on the other...

Ok, I'm not going to yell, actually kind of flattered that the new kids aren't slotted in for relegation right off. But, I am going to complain -- 2 PM at Ambleside! You get sunny Sunday afternoons at a beautiful park, we get dark rainy Friday nights at 9 PM on the turf -- just what I need after a long week at work.

Bobby are you listening -- there is a lesson here.

Oh well, I can see that there will have to be much more piss-taking from the actual sidelines this year. See you all Sunday afternoons.

Westside's entry as an O-40 team into 3rd divsion is a mix of guys who have had enough of premier and other guys who are joining the funnest team in the league...we don't need no stinking playing cards to have a good time! So it looks like we're signing 50 or so old bastards between the 2 teams! Actually I hope one of our guys will have a chance to play with his son who's signing for our U-21 squad as a 16 year old (great player!).

I am not coaching the premier team this year, i've signed with the 3rd div team but I think I'll miss most of the games due to coaching my son's last year in juvenile. At least I assume they're playing Sundays like last year.

I hope it's a good competitive schedule but I shudder to think of what it might be like...no offense to any 3rd division teams out there but I have visions of fit 31 year old guys who haven't played a lot of soccer, taking a break from hockey for a year or something, playing more of a rugby game. Oh well it should be good and hopefully it will set up the O-40 league for next year...what happened to all the fcuking hands that went up by the way when Willie was asking for committed teams?

peter...all the scotch drinkers are now in the 3rd div??? that can be the missing ingredient for success for your the premier team(JC needs a shot before the game to stretch out his knees)...it should be fun your team and the pcov b team this year the 3rd div...make sure you remind your player's to bring helmets and elbow pads....

After viewing the VMSL website I noticed they only have one side of the table?? Sir M. may have been right with his pre-analysis on which side is tougher... Did R. forget there are two sides??
