This weeks matches (all Friday eve):

22 Ave at PCOV
Metro Ford at Richmond
Columbus at West Van
Westside at Wickham
Surrey Utd at Sapperton

I am not seeing the home teams being troubled too much this week, maybe one or two ties thrown in.

Predictions?

Columbus VS Westvan very good game. Depends on who has bodies....
I give the edge to Columbus boys. Caught a few minutes last Friday. They have a very good backline this year. D wins championships!

SCK you are correct on that. West Van won the Westerns over Alberta 1-0, with their defence being the main ingredient in the finals! WV needs to bring their whole team to this game and not split up the squad like has been posted on here earlier. If Columbus takes all 3 points here then give the League Trophy to them now, well the other 4 or 5 teams can battle it out for spots 2 through 6!!

So I guess you're suggesting that the rest of us are here to make up the numbers?? Columbus are a very good team but I think if you ask them, they'd agree they were lucky to get away with a point when we played. We had numerous chances to win that game by a couple but woodwork, poor finishing as well as good goalkeeping assured them their point.
Even if they beat W Van on the weekend, they are not running away with anything unless Sir M is correct in his prediction that the home teams will have little trouble this weekend.

That's 3 home teams losing this weekend...just sayin'.

Actually I am a bit dyslexic plus I get some stuff backwards sometimes. 2 home team victories, 2 away victories, and a tie.

Dancin Bear...I think you misread me.....You may have scored against their backline but you also have to keep balls out of your net:) WIckham was known for a few years to be a hardworking team. You still need numbers and unfortunately they do not. Columbus, on the other hand, have numbers and very good quality like WV.

Actually, I think you misread me.....I don't play for Wickham. I play for the only team that has taken points from Columbus......oh, and the team that has the least amount of goals scored against it thus far.

I can only hope that we can keep up with the big boys of Columbus and WV.

The ref in our game last weekend called Smallsy fat. Everyone heard it.

It was one of those European refs who actually has a crush on Smallsy, and referred to him as "Phat". The fact that the ref then chased him down, caught him, pinned him to the ground. Well, that is another matter.

European Ref?

Well, he did have an accent and wasn't bashful in letting everyone within 300 yards hearing it on the day.
