U21 WHat do you think of the u21 league this year?

the delta team that played in the PCSL was the one playing u-21 now not the premier one the premier one was playing PDL. and the VMSL premier is a higher level then PCSL the pcsl is just more organized.

how about an opinion from someone who actually played for them.
the team that competed in the pcsl were composed of ONLY 90s and 91s, we came 2nd in the san diego surf cup and that was the end of our youth careers for half of the team.
the delta wfc is pretty much ALL residency players + some call ups from the u21 squad ( 91s+92s, 2 93s ), depending on their performance at training, exhibution etc.
so i do disagree on the call that pcsl has better quality than vmsl because a lot of good players are away for vacations in the summer.
and lets be honest residency was stronger than our u18 summer team so it's not a surprise they're on the top half

And alot of good players dont play in the winter aswell,,who really knows whos better,,I personaly feel the PCSL is stronger than VMSL,,In general and as a whole. Yes some VMSL teams could beat some PCSL teams,,but as a whole I think the PCSL is stronger.
Residency was way stronger than the PCSL WFC but you cannot compare the PDL and the PCSL based on the Residency's team and record and the PCSL WFC because the Residency finnished 3-4th out of 85 teams and were one of the best in the PDL and is not and average PDL team..Not even close to average. PCSL and PDL are both the same ,again as a whole. both Div-3.

Being someone who has played PDL for two different squads, one in West Virginia, I can tell you that PDL is by far the better quality league of all. However, the northwest division is perhaps the weakest in all of that league. If you look at NCAA results, majority of the national champions come from the East or the SEC (Wake, Duke, Maryland) etc. All these kids are gunning for USL and mainly MLS combine invites, or just looking to stay fit before preseason comes around in August. Technically, alot of the players up here are just as good as the players there. However, the main difference is the speed of play and the physical aspect. You can't judge the PDL just by the local teams. If any of them played against the players from Duke, Wake, VTech, UNC, Clemson, on a cosistent basis during league play, you could count on them having a difficult 3 months.

Plavsic 10 you must be joking when you say that the VMSL is better than PCSL. Only the best players in VMSL get called out to play in PCSl. And all of them have tough time to beat Seatle Club. Kolowna uses five or six US div one University players and still it has tough time to be in the upper half. U21 in PCSL is stronger than the VMSL U21 and better organized. The only problem to VMSL U21 was the guy in charge of U21 team. He personaly blocked the teams from comming in just so he could get one or two better players. And that is the main problem in BC. Rusty bolts running the U21 league. He has moved on this last year and things do look better. Summer is when you play soccer. Winter is when you drink beer and watch hockey. And play bit indoor just to stay in shape. You all,all the best in New Year.

as a product of the pcsl u-21, and a former ncaa and pdl player...you have to remember one thing about kelowna...if their d.1 players were really that good, they would have been signed to top pdl teams instead of pcsl...other than that, very valid points.

What i can not understand is not PCSL or PDL leagues. My biggest consen is that our so called leaders of soccer no longer beleave in Canadian kids. Most of the players are getting jobs are kids from US. And the simple thing is they are more fisicly ready than our kids here. As far as their skill it is no better than kids here. That is the lack that has stoped our progres forward. And one more thing to addd to it is a drive to work at the peack levels for longer period of time. That all tells you that most of the coaches are parents and gardians reather than the X soccer players that could develop kids. Fitness alone is terible. They have to sub every three minutes or the drive to play hard goes down to nothing. We need to step it way up.
