It's time for a bit of an update here on TTP in terms of the general style and layout - nothing earth shattering by any means but there are a few things that I think improves the daily TTP experience.

There are 2 large changes that have surfaced geared towards how discussions are structured with respect to:

  1. The VMSL and FVSL forums
Gone are the specific sub-forums for each division. Everything has been put into one large forum for each league. I've set pre-fixes for each thread that is division specific - when viewing the thread list, click on a pre-fix and you will filter out everything else and show just those divisional threads (or cups / allstars / etc).

  2. TTP Bookie
All bookie event discussion threads are now housed in the TTP Pick$ For Profit forum - again, the use of pre-fixes helps identify the bookie category events.
There will be some tweaks here and there over the next couple of days/weeks - if you have any issues, please don't hesitate to post here and I'll do my best to sort it out as soon as possible.

Cheers,

Regs.

You've posted more today than in months... if that's a disaster, I'll take it :)

Seriously though, are you apprehensive about the league forums changes or the general style?

I find that the new post area doesn't seem to work the same, could be me as I'm not great with technology. Old dog new trick kinda thing.

Do you mean where you make a new post or when you view the new posts page?

When I view, I think I have solved my issue. I used to scroll to the top and click on new posts after every read, I figured out if you just click on forums it takes you back to the top and click new posts.

I do like the new look

Excellent!

The new sticky nav at the top helps in that regard - I'm thinking I should do up a couple of how-to threads maybe with video to help people learn some new (and old) tricks

Well if it's going to post a video link it would be better to just embed the video.
Likewise for long form articles, I'd prefer to have the full text instead of having to link through to the source.

Also not sure it needs to be posting Whitecaps articles when there's already a very active Whitecaps thread.

I like the new look. I am used to finding new posts quickly but realize it is under FORUM now. I think it would be good to include New Posts on the Home page.

Regs...mostly and old dog new tricks thing. Specifically on the front, I think it's best to show a bunch of the trending topics, not just three. Maybe top 10?

Front page is a work in progress, there are only 3 as I've only featured 3 threads so far :)

Working on it...

With regards to AB, I'm searching out better feeds / sources for him / her to use :)

If you *really* don't like AB, use the ignore feature.

@Reds-16

No how-to's yet but I just put the forums' sub-links into the sticky navbar so when you use new posts, you don't have to scroll back up, just click the new posts link again and select the next new post to read.

Cheers,

Regs.
