BJ,

Home park is Municipal Athletic, field turf. New stadium out there too, for all the Croatian fans. Accoustics are unreal in how it echos from the grandstand down to the pitch, so bring the, erm, loud noise making items.

Typical home game times have been 7:00 Saturday nights, but who knows what is available now.

Re: 2007 BC Mens Open Provincial Cup, Early Discussion and Banter

Lookatyourself is not the Gordon Head Guy. He's just a guy. Top team listed get home field. Thanks again boys for the live draw. It was done very well. AFC sounds like they can be a very solid squad. Any idea on what field the Gorge AFC game will be played on? I don't want to count any chickens but there is a possibility that Clanbus could play at the LOG. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like the top half is a little more loaded than the bottom half. I heard you guys talking about the firefighters yesterday. It seems that the Craviero Thompson duo has sure clicked in the past few weeks? True???????

Re: 2007 BC Mens Open Provincial Cup, Early Discussion and Banter

I wish the people in charge of the draw would set it up such that FVSL teams and Island teams did not draw within their own league in the first round. It's easy to do, and would separate it so that FVSL teams can play Island teams and Metro teams etc. I think I can speak for my team (and probably the other FVSL teams think the same thing) in that it's kinda boring drawing a squad from your own league in the first round. We play these guys 2-3 times a year in league and cup play. I know we at PAU were hoping to draw a Metro team or Island team (even if it meant going over there), just to spice things up.

SAGE-----
I am sure the Vancouver teams would also like to play a new team in the first round...but the draw is random, thus the results. Just win your games if you want to play new teams...that is what everyone has to do.

Has the game times and fields been set? More specifically, where and when is the Gorge - AFC game?

It might also be good to know who the players are? Are they a huge loss or can they be replaced ?

Cheers

I know for sure Crouch and Cucca...not sure if Shaggy has missed two yet, but he may also be gone.
There were also a couple of yellow cards that may have accumulated.
We'll have to wait and see....

Fair enough. I liked the neat bracket you could print.

Re: 2007 BC Mens Open Provincial Cup, Early Discussion and Banter

Croatia went down to Bellingham last night and had a provincial cup warm-up game against an american squad coached by Steve Millar. They also had a few guys from Surrey. I think they might have been the Skagit PCSL team. The score was 1-1 with both teams playing some good soccer. The facility was great and all in all a good lil warm-up.

The Vike, The only thing you've done in Powell River is blaze la lerb. Good luck in the Provincials paisano!!!

Um...I am not sure what you are planning on watching on the CBC at the Shark club...but it appears that it will not be the Canucks/Ducks game.

It is set for 5 pm as well...

Maybe they will have a nice recap of Cornation Street for you! :D
