I would have thought the Westside boys would have gone to the old: "When was the last time any team from Powell River won a trophy?"...which I assume was never, although I fully expect to be corrected by our friend here promptly.

Certainly builds the interest for the next match, though I would have to assume Columbus remain HEAVEY favourites no? Would be very dissappointing to see PR get blown out by 5 or 6 after all the chest banging and ego stroking tho...

It appears Westside did carry a lot of the possession as iterated several times in the article. I'd expect the same against Columbus.
But if PR can hang in again and not let it game get away they could very well do it again. They did get the first goal against Westside in how long?

It will be tough to chase the ball 2 games in a row, and after a long road trip and steal a win.

I don't know how many are on this current PR team but there was a time in the 1990's where PR were the strength of Vancouver Island soccer...and represented the VISL in the A Provincials on several occasions I think? I would stand to reason that their masters team could be strong...just doing the math

And when Peg knocked us out in the semis in '97 Powell River was the other rep from the island.
