Well tonight the Whitecaps can, with a win, secure at minimum a draw at the top of the table with TFC for this tourney.
Currently the standings are:
TFC with 6 points, 2-0-0
Whitecaps FC with 6 points, 2-0-1
L'Impact with 0 points, 0-0-2
If the Caps can knock off TFC tonite TFC will have to beat Montreal in Montreal, and overcome the goal differential to go past WFC for the Nutrilite Championship/Voyageurs Cup.
Vancouver is 3 goals for, 1 against.
TFC is 2 goals for, 0 against.
If the are tied if the Caps win tonight and TFC wins in Montreal, the following is applied:
Both teams are not playing very well as of late, but the atmosphere at Swangard should be great tonight, especially with awesome weather.
Toronto cannot afford to drop more points at this point of the season, and have just lost 3-0 to Houston, and have LA up next on Saturday... That being said the Caps are without Nash, who is suspended for having 2 yellows TFC may dress a weaker lineup for tonights game, and thus I'll predict a 2-1 Whitecaps FC win.
