NCOQ 4-3 Mission
cheers bud. tough game, mission came out flat and thought we would run away with it at 3-1 half. Then they came out flying in the second and popped two to tie it up but we dug deep and pulled out the winner. It was nice to hit the net a few times tonight, for the team, and myself. Shame we let in two goals that were unfortunately sweet shots but should'nt happen. Can't complain, we had 12 players, wonderful weather conditions, a five min slip where they scored 2 but we came away with a good performance and a win. On to next week with some confidence. Oh wait, we have a bye...

Ya ya ya, not due to oldness my friend, due to crippleness, haha. Knees holding up for now, good enough for the doughnut today.

Simple put: pure ugliness. Came up with a few huge saves. We couldn't do nothing at all with the wind today. Got the goal in the middle of the 2nd half from strength and honour and held on...and by holding on I really mean holding on.

I wasn't aware we were cursed. I think you guys are just vastly superior to us in every conceivable way. If our division was made up of 1 West Coast and 9 Titans teams you would go undefeated every year.
Unfotunate we weren't able to walk away with a better result, we just weren't able to capitalize on our chances though. Housearrest came up with a few saves when he needed to, and the rest of our chances we just weren't able to convert. Nomads were outplayed today and were very lucky to walk away with the win.

Whoa now, I wouldn't say we were outplayed. We definetly played our worst and, once again, ugliest game of the year, but if that is what u call a 'good outing' for delta, then no offence, you guys will have trouble scrunging up points for the rest of the year. We def played down to your level today and it was one of the most frustrating games I've watched us Nomads play all year. But we perservered and that's what good teams do, find a way to win even when they aren't playing at their best.
Onto sikh next week to round up the first half of the season

Guildford 4- Pegasus 1
Guildford came out to a great start but came out the first 15 with nothing to show for it. The rest of the half was dominated by guildford and we went 2 up into half. The second was more of the same. Pegasus never looked a threat on the night, and if it wasnt for a SHOCKING pk for pegasus, it would have been a clean sheet. 3 posts and numerous missed chances. The scoreline doesnt do this game justice, 6-0 would have been more fitting.
Now its on to ACBC, which has to be without question div 2 MOTW. They will bring out as many premier players as legally possible, but if we can take any points out of this match, promotion looks quite probable.

Game tonight : LUFC Wolves - 5 Bradner Redshirts - 2.
Finally had 16 players out tonight. No callups and got the job done. 8 new players on the Wolves this year and we have shown it in the first set of games. Had "Phil" the referee ( human paintbrush) and he was equally dismal for both teams. Never changes always wants to be the centre of attention. Bradner guys could not believe him. We told them that is always the way it is and not to talk back. Looked like a team tonight so hopefully that continues.

Totally agree with howler. We were out played, couldn't string more than two passes together. Referee was atrotious, absolutely no flow to the game when he blows the wistle every 45 seconds. Two PK's one for each team Both undeserved.
