The disputed fourth goal was a weird one with the pass totally changing direction when it deflected off the Port Moody defender. The offside decision has to be made when the ball was originally played by the Alouette player, not when it deflects and at that point I thought he was onside (but I wouldn't swear too it either!). The player who eventually scored, may have been offside on that original pass but is not involved in that "phase of play" so no offside is given. Strange one anyways...I'd say 80% change I got it right! Anyways, that was a fun match last night played at a good pace and was made so much easier by the fact you guys played hard but left the fouls as well as me alone.

this kind of bugs me...i really dont care what kind of calls you make and dont make, but god damn can u please stand behind the ones you do make. A confident referee is the best referee.

80% aint good enough

Then go become a ref jackass and let's see what you can do when you have to make split second decisions. I forgot you are a superstar player and will have no problem reffing. Like I said to blindman on Friday is it really worth the abuse. Blindman I was right in line with this play that happened and it was not offside, good call made.

hey i know its tough to be a referee and god knows i couldnt do it....all im saying is even if u second guess ur decision u gotta stand by it 100%...and if u dont, that is when the abuse comes....you gotta be damn strong to be a ref, and i respect anyone that does it....but the refs that get into trouble are those who second guess themselves.

Read his response again, he is standing by his decision. He made a decision on the pitch and stuck to it. At least he has the balls to come out and say hey I made a call which I still think I was right on and maybe just maybe it could have been a wrong call. You sound like one of those players that even if he screws up he has to point to someone else and say it was your fault!!

Well, a hard loss to take. I agree that Sporting played all right, but I have no idea how they are beating teams. They have many holes on their back line and should be giving up more than they score. As for that, We played poorly, had a terrible start and let in a second goal with 2 minutes left. They got the win, celebrated like they won the world cup (seriously, celebrated like a bunch of fools) and took much needed points from us.
On to next week, need to re-group and move on.

Langley 2 - Players 1

Not taking anything away from langley, cause we're got no one but ourselves to blame for the loss, but I personally feel the score was not good reflection of the game. Langley worked hard and had some good speed up front, but the bulk of the play was controlled by us, we just couldn't buy a goal if our lives depended on it. Just goes to show you don't have to be the better team to win a game, you just gotta score more goals than the other guys. Case and point.

On the plus side, the officiating was probably the best we've had in the last 2 years, except i'm sure Langley's new favourite phrase is "play on, the ball played the man"

Lots of soccer left to play still, but that was a hard one for us to swallow.

The score could have easily been 2-2 if that shot didnt hit the bar. It also could have been 2-0 if we marked #12 on that free kick. We got the result thx to 2 great plays, not really any kind of build up or tactics.

I hope you dont seriously think that was a handball. If you do then maybe its time to check the rule book.

in an earlier post tc says it was the best ref he had this year ? great shot that hit the post (lots do they dont count) delta's goal was horrible marking by me . langley wanted the win more plain and simple . ndp play your better players (no pun intended) more tall guy up front as soon as he left the park you guys won no head balls fresh on the outside working magic did not play enough short stocky guy playing 3rd striker role was killing us .let your role players do that and key players on the pitch more and your results will come

bad point!
look at the number of times you're on here first, then we'll talk!

and about the bing....

oh yes, the bing...
i couldnt fukcin tell you what i had for breakfast this morning,
so having said that, i cant remember who was her first victim.
............but i'll tell you 'bout ol' lady bing herself..............

she's as graciouse as a dove on still pond.
her majesty is one only topped by the queen herself.
the pink lining of the bing would make all men alive, shiver at its sight.
so powerful only the brave few have yet to set their eyes on it.
so bright, when held in the changeroom, you cant help but to piss your pants.
but if there's one thing the bing is infamouse for....
its that the man to lay his lips on her is to forever be cursed for which he himself was under her spell and equally unfortunate as to wind up as the worst man to have stepped on the field that night.
yes son, i know of lady bing and much fortunate not to have tasted thy flesh.

so suckit....

I agree with Buckfast. I’m sick of hearing “suckit” this and “suckit” that. It’s like someone’s lifted the dialogue from a Ron Jeremy porn flick. Who cares who “suckit” is? “Suckit” has yet to say anything that would suggest great intelligence or wit. The WWF was able to create more drama and mystery when they threw a mask on Andre the Giant.

However, if were looking for Milhouse to save us we could be in trouble. If wit were shite, he’d be constipated. Now, about those undefeated Highlanders? Their 40 man roster is showing some depth. Unfortunately the pre-game warm-up consists primarily of introductions. Seems to be working though.

ND Players are the only team in the FVSL not to score a goal in their first 5 games this year.

Discuss. :D

Balsa practiced last night. Congrats to him and Spazz being common law in 6(?) months... :wa:
