Well this by far has been my most insane day of running this team...(Sir M will appreciate this)

Goalie number 3 (Yes we have three) 1 pm today..Hey Coach, can't make the game as i am boarding a plane to Vegas to see Elton John with row one seats.
We are meeting R F and a few of his lads at the concert........Sorry for the late notice.

6:20 pm...Hey Coach it's Ian Mclean here....Can't make it pal....Very Sick Tonight ????:rolleyes::rolleyes:

6:30 pm...Goalie number two C J.(aka H O S) Sorry coach but the babysitter bailed and my kids are sick at home.....Can't make it pal !

6:35 pm.. Ring Ring...Hi Coach this is Larry the MGR and Trainers wife....Larry had a Heart Attack three hours ago and he needed the Paddles Three Times to revive him ?????(Oh my god i say!) Quote..."He is now stable but bitching that you now have to go by the house and pick up the Jesreys and Equipment Bag........(You have to be kidding me right??)
Nope.....This guy is teling his wife to make sure we wear the Whites tonight as the other team has Darks............From the emergency room.....

6:45 Tony.Goalie number 1 is calling me from an ambulance as his wifes Gall Bladder has busrt...."Sorry Coach but the wife is in way too much pain for me to play tonight and i will be here all night".....(No doubt Tony)

6:55...Ring Ring....Hey Coach it's Shuey...........Sorry pal but our flight got changed and we now fly out at 11 pm to L A tonight and not 3 am........
I can't play tonight !

I show up to the park in a state of shock thinking that Candid Camera will be popping up at any time.

8:15 pm...I look around the changeroom and do a very quick head count...
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,.....nine guys,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Alrighty Then!

8:25.pm... Five minutes before kickoff........Andy Meyer and Baily walk through the door.........Ok....I have eleven, but who is playing in goal???

Thank you Paul Marshall for not only playing in goal but keeping the slate clean.

We ended up winning Five - Zero over the new Sikh Team and Andy did end up scoring three............

Larry is doing fine as i went by the Hospital on the way home !

My god...............What a night! Yes this was a true story......Really!

Thank you for your insightful post dazza....:D

Delta 3 Allblacks 1

Good hard fought game but Deltas speed up front was the difference in this one...altho AllBlacks controlled their share of the game we couldn't find a way inside the 18.....2-1 right to the bitter end until Delta potted one in injury time...

Two goals on penalties in this one..one for each team....the shot of the game was one that missed......one touch and a volley that skimmed off the corner of the goal from one of Deltas big fellas up front...I couldn't even turn my head quick enough to follow that one.......some dude had to go wading thru the Bog to retrieve it...came back about half an hour later...:D .No beer man for the Ballsacks so it was off to the pub for a few bevies :knvb:

Solid and patient performance by our lads last night. This was a must win for us after beating PAU last week as we must continue to put results together every week. This has been something this Delta team has lacked in the past, so it was nice to see the boys get the result they deserved in the end.

Bad form on the Ballsacks part with no beer, no Za and no balls...:D

Coach,

Give my regards and best wishes to Larry on a speedy recovery from all the Delta lads. A quality guy that I have also had the pleasure and honour to work alongside.

Cheers

Coach...well, when I went to that long post, the first thing I did was check the time. 01:18 AM. Perfect! I start rubbing my hands together in anticipation of a cracker jack post game drunken post by Coach. Saddle up, this'll be good, I says to myself.

First, you disappoint me...it reads like you haven't had a drop. Second, holly shite! You must have been in shock after getting the call from Larry's wife. Scary. Hope he's well.

Now, would somebody go drop off a 2 liter of Rockaberry cooler on Coach's doorstep? I'll check back in about 3 hours.

You see Coach?
You see when you fcuk over the best keeper this club has ever seen and make him the 4th backup?
Be careful what you wish for Coach and your arsenal of 'goalkeepers'.
Fcukin ingrate...:D

BTW, it's time lads we start in on Aldergrove.
These 'fading into the woodwork' quiet little farmers south of Fraser Hwy and 282 have had it way too easy on here.
The Clark brothers, especially you Gordie, can lick me today.
You and your god damn blue ribbon at the top of the tables. ;)

My second trup in four weeks to Sin City has me thinking you're small potatoes to the likes of me Moneyman.
Cash to burn, so I do.
Oh, and keep your fcuking head up Sunday. :D

Cheers biatches,
RF

Dude:
You can't handle the truth!
The truth is, it's all about 'Revenue'.
ALL expenses are deductible.
It's what drives us all into production.
Expenses generate revenues.
And, you WANT those revenues don't you?!? :D

HOS:
Shut outs apparently don't mean much based on my GA last year.
I repeat Coach: INGRATE  ;)

Phatso:
I actually didn't meet up with the boys to see Elton at Caesar's.
I went to that 'other' place you referred me to earlier.
See my comments to Dude above. :D

BTW, I'm not sure Larr had an attack but he needed the paddles as part of a way to slow his heart down.
And when I say paddles, I'm not talking about HOS' gloves that he lent Marshie on the weekend.
They basically had to shut him off, use the paddles to re-start him so his heart could kick back in at a slower rate as his was going out of control.
Regardless, scary stuff and thanks to all the class shown here on wishing him well.
He's a gem and we're lucky to have him as part of our club.

We'll keep you updated boys and cheers again,
RF

That makes sense and a relief to hear. He may have to get an implanted defibrillator for future events. That's always fun when one of those things goes on the brink and starts shocking out of the blue. A guy can be having a beer, or in the middle of a shag, and KABOOM! 360 joules!

On a different note... This is the weekend of the much anticipated clash of the Titans... SFC Rangers vs The mighty GEU.
Sounded so much better 5 weeks ago !!!
Hmmm seems someone posted on here ,when all the GEU ranting was going on , that we should wait 5 or 6 weeks and see how GEU were doing.
Hey Moneyman/daplaya/mastermind/brownguy what sort of a result are you predicting ??? I haven't heard much from any of you lately ( which I am sure everyone is happy about ) but really what do you suppose will happen ??
I say you should try to keep it under double digits if you can :D

I might have to postpone my trip or give the place to Sir M and stay around town for this match against the Rangers. Are you asking me not to run up the score into double digits Phatanslow? That's how I read your post.I only see victory, why bother playing otherwise. It's like running a business sometimes you have to make an investment into something and it takes longer to recover your initial investment, but you know it is a blue chip stock and it's worth the wait. Ask Taxman he will put it into smaller words so you can understand. I am a gambling man would anyone like to wager a bet!
