GEU 3 - POCO 0


1-0 until the last 75, 2 late goals to put the game away....poco never really created too much threat on the offensive end of the pitch. GEU had a few more chances and capitalized on the three of them....

maybe the whole mix up in geu was for the better?????

Super Sub Owen potted 2 great goals for an 18yr old in his first premier game.

So is it safe to say that Poco's rebuilding and are not a contender this year? Looks like the GEU boys are starting to gel and could make for some tough matches this year.

Rapids 3 - Delta Metro 2

Metro's striker Fizal Ganief fast and talented. Hard to contain. Scored an absolutely OUTSTANDING goal. Rapids had some good ones themselves. 3 to be exact.

Good game. Entertaining for the fans (about 150) who came out to watch two teams grind each other on an excellent evening for soccer.

Handful of Yellows No Reds. Both teams came to play. Refs let them for the most part.

Very easy game to report on. Delta blew their load in the first 35, and the Wack got through it. Second half much slower and their experience and will eventually won the game. You can tell they just expect to win. Very good place to be.

Now more importantly goaltending. Becker pulled a couple out of his arse, and the Delta keeper six fyv'ed one in the last couple of minutes. Why he was where he was was baffling. Simply the difference in the end, goaltending is huge at this level.
