I’m not sure how that’s not going to come across as a shot against the stars on the team. Certainly feels like a shot at Davies.

So Herdman can bail if it suits him, but the players can't sign endorsement deals when it suits them... some leader...

As the very astute Rangerforever shows, Canada was at least under him able to get the best talent out.
Now he's built that foundation let's hope it's just that - a springboard to better performances while still bringing in our best.

Weird situation, why would she post about it on her linkedin profile the day she was suppose to start? This one stinks and for once, can't put any blame on the association I don't think.

From the statement on the Canada Soccer website:

“Our thoughts are with Alyson as she deals with an unforeseen personal matter that sadly precludes her from taking on the role of General Secretary. While we were all looking forward to having her lead Canada Soccer, we fully understand, and deeply respect her request for privacy. We wish her all the very best.” said Charmaine Crooks, Canada Soccer President.

“After careful consideration and conversation with my family, I have decided for personal reasons, to take some time away and will not step into the role of General Secretary at Canada Soccer. I wish Canada Soccer the very best and will be cheering on from afar.” said Alyson Walker.

Who knows what this really means. If the job was desirable I think people would move heaven and earth to take the opportunity. It appears that the kitchen is pretty bare and anyone who takes it on has an uphill battle.

I knew about the esports, but i completely missed the fact that she is in the Ultimate Canada Hall of Fame :oops:
