Keep up this sh!te and next week it might be the Sir M's excellent Richmond league Power Rankings. Give the guy a break it's a bit of fun, start your own and put yourself on top. Rf you guys were provincial champs? You should have stormed through the Ladner league.:knvb:

This stuff is beautiful. Thanks for the fuel for the debate, Sir M. After all, TTP and all that. As for which is a better league, has better teams, does it ever really matter? I've played in both leagues( like others) and no one can argue Rangers success ( still hate to play you RF), but also agree on the high quality of most of the teams in Vancouver. Still, anyone can beat anyone in both leagues on any given day. And whether it's Sapp in the Valley or Sapp in the metro, I know the pints will be cold in the locker after the game. And the red cards will be numerous. Seems to follow both.

Shizer, I know that anyone can beat anyone on a given day, but really, when you break it down by ties the FVSL pales in comparison to the VMSL. 2 ties this year vs 11 in the VMSL... now that is what I am talking about. GVRD domination, no question.

Special kudos to Inter with an amazing 5 ties -- now that is intensity. I apologize for anything bad I have ever said about them (or might say in the near future.)

I have never ventured to the FVSL web site before, and I appreciate the Rangers great goal difference, but what is this... Delta Metro with 58 goals; surely that must be some kind of scoring error? That is more than double the Columbus 27 or Wickham 26 goal totals, the two teams that lead the VMSL. Is Messi or 5Bts playing for them? Seems like they might be the toughest tie in either league... I might pay to see them vs Inter. Any chance of a Boxing Day friendly?

Yoga?

I don't ever want to have an image in my head of Heanjob in the downward dog position again.

RED CARD.

PS: Wild Turkey may not be Coach's best friend, but it is TTPs! :D

If YOGA is good enough for the Canucks it's good enough for me, don't knock it till you try it.

Off Topic......Just curious to know how many teams in the vmsl and fvsl masters have taken advantage of the under 35 signings allowable.....and if they think it will hurt them come cup and provincial time ???

When comparing VMSL to FVSL in the open division....one of the major points on why VMSL teams always win at the provincial level is because they have better competition throughout the regular season.

Now, if the VMSL Masters league is superior to that of the FVSL Masters league, then VMSL teams should dominate at the cup level too...but they dont.

Three more years RF.....three more years.

Once again you are wrong Zaurrini. Maybe you can go concentrate on your Columbus team...you guys seem to be in a slump. If you actually cared to look at the teams who have vied for the championships you would see a lot of VMSL teams in there. Last year, Columbus lost, year before FF won, year before that Inter lost. I don't buy what you are saying. Besides, RF's team and SU( who now are in VMSL) who has done really well??

Zaurrini playing for Columbus ???

I know who he plays for snake eyes...Just doing some TTPing. If you look at his posts in Open he's a Columbus supporter.

In terms, of inter guys leaving, can't comment on that. The masters side is totally independent of them. We've lost very few guys over the years...Maybe that's our problem?? We are all grown men (except Hose maybe) and we make choices were we play...period. What happened in the other Friday night tilt? 5-1 Metro?? They must have had some frontrunners out that we didn't see early in the year...Comments Taxman??

We have none - Masters soccer is over 35 and that is what we play.

I wasn't there SCK so I don't know what happened. I know we were struggling to get 11 - maybe had 12.... But as Regs said "your team is shite without you". Poggie might not agree but he is a cnut.

Likewise. A lot of the teams have an average age well over 40. On ours, we only have 3 players under 40 (38, 38, 39). It certainly could make a difference, but I am with Taxman on this. O'35 is why we are here - otherwise we would all still be playing Metro.

0200 hrs: Travel to another team mate's house nearby, for foosball and a drink or two.

0430 hrs: Taxi home.

0435 hrs: Numerous posts on TTP. Many spelling mistakes.

0500 hrs: Fall asleep with half eaten food on chest..

So, that is where we left off last week. Let us continue now with the further adventures of our intrepid energizer bunny:

0630 hrs: Up, kilt on, head over to the Firemen's club to get a good seat for the Scotland vs Italy match with various WV team mates, including of course, Besty.

0730-1130 hrs: Numerous pints, disappointing result for Scotland, but Besty's reaction to referree's decision on the deciding goal worth price of admission.

1130 hrs: Seymours for lunch brrrtt.

1300 hrs: Cactus West.

1400 hrs: Capilano Rugby game, which was licensed.

1600 hrs: Pemberton Station pub. Followed by the Rusty Gull (1900 hrs), joining the Andrew Woodall band on stage with club mate. Mistaken by a burly ironworker for Ellen DeGeneres who wants to "convert" him.

2130 hrs: Finally arrive at party at Eagles' 70s porn decorated pad. And that was one party which featured romance, exotic dancing, cross dressing and international intrigue. Home very, very late.

Sunday to Saturday: Penance.

But enough about these hijinks, it is time now once again for this week's edition of:

Sir M's Excellent Power Rankings:

1. Columbus F.C. (VMSL. Last week’s rank: 1). Columbus disposed of Inter rather easily, at least if the scoreline is an indicator, on the weekend. Away to PCOV in another game which will be of interest to those that frequent The Drive, but not to womyn who refuse to shave their underarms.

2. S.F.C. Rangers (FVSL. Last week’s rank: 3). Up one spot after their defeat of Aldergrove on the weekend. Rounding into form. Home to Mission next in a game which Coach has personally PM'd me to advise they will be looking for as he described it, revenge. Best served cold.

3. Cliff Ave. United (VMSL. Last week’s rank: 2). Down one spot after being tied at home by an undermanned West Van on Sunday. Some staff lobbied to have them ranked one or two spots lower. But the totality of their season thus far keeps them top three. PCOV next.

4. Surrey United (VMSL. Last week’s rank: 4). Back to back losses are a rare event for this side. Sir M is worried that West Van may be getting a bit of a wounded bear out at Ambleside on the weekend. (Easy Eagles, not literally). Should be a potential MOTW at Ambleside on Friday.

5. West Van F.C. (VMSL. Last week’s rank: 5). Tied Cliff on Sunday in a very rare event for this side, 0-0. SU next.

6. Portuguese Club of Vancouver (VMSL. Last week’s rank: 6). Hold their spot after beating Cracovia on the weekend. Big game against Columbus next, where they may face their team mate of last year, staff report.

7. Westside F.C. (VMSL. Last week’s rank: 8). Westside, who by the way, along with West Van, apparently owe Sapperton. (Eagles is this one of those land claims things or something)? I mean Sir M would hate to have his membership at CG&CC somehow compromised. Westside did finally play on this continent on Friday evening and won. Home to Sapp in a bit of a payback game or something on Sunday.

8. Sapperton Rovers (VMSL. Last week’s rank: 10). Up two more spots for this side, who are on a hot streak. A serious win over Surrey U out at Cloverdale has gotten staff's attention, and has gotten WAB posting again. Home to Westside next.

9. Delta Metro United (FVSL. Last week's rank: 9). They won on a forfeit on the weekend. And this team can sure score goals: 59 thus far, and that includes a 1-0 forfeit. As Eagles would say, "wow". Away to Abbotsford next, a game which staff reports they should (cringe) win quite easily.

10. ICSF Inter (VMSL. Last week’s rank: 7). Drop after their loss. Away to Firemen next, in which should be a battle.

11. Peace Arch United (FVSL. Last week’s rank: 11). This side won by a big score over a weak team on the weekend. Away to Sikh next.

12. Coquitlam Metro Ford Wolves (VMSL. Last week’s rank: 17). Finally a big win for MF over FF jumps them right up. Home to Cracovia next.

13. Wickham FC (VMSL. Last week’s rank: 12). Drop one spot after their loss on Friday eve. ColemanJ has recently been tasked with keeping this side up. Away at Cliff next.

14. Vancouver Firefighters (VMSL. Last week’s rank: 13). Staff are willing to contribute at least part of the blame for last week's loss to shifting patterns for some of these players. Home to Inter next.

15. Coveside FC (NSCL. Last week's rank: 15). This team holds their spot after their win over Lynn Valley Aztecas on Sunday. Up against the never to be taken lightly Seymour next.

16. Langley All Blacks (FVSL. Last week's rank: 16). Remain the same (very much unlike Mrs. Sir M) after their tie. Home to a currently underachieving GEU next.

17. Mission F.C. Blues (FVSL. Last week's rank: 15). In an incredible coincidence, this side, much like SCDMTCBlonde, was tied up by the all blacks this last weekend...(what are the odds of that happening)? Away to SFC next.

18. Aldergrove United (FVSL. Last week’s rank: 18). Despite their loss to SFC on the weekend, this side holds their ranking. Because they played.

19. Richmond United (VMSL. Last week's rank: not ranked). This side is thus far dominating the VMSL Div. 1 Masters. So they return to these rankings. Home to CCFC next.

20. Nordic FC (NSCL. Last week's rank: 18). Were postponed on the weekend. Away to NAFC next, a team which is sponsored by a marijuana parlour. They are usually in a good mood, and sometimes are very hungry.

So that is it for this week. Regards,

Sir M.
