Way to kill the thread with that photo... Anyways, we (GFC Lions) played Polonia yesterday, and won 3-2. After being up 1-0 we conceded 2 goals late, only to come back with 2 of our own. They had more possession but I think we out-chanced them, so it was fairly even. We deserved the win after last week's game where Romania tied us late on a goal that never actually crossed the line.
That's a really good and surprising result for your guys! Well done.
As for us (Van Utd). I thought we played a fairly even game against Rino's Fury. Most of the game was battled in the middle of the park with few clear cut scoring chances for either team. We scored two late goals of our own to steal the win.

Vancouver United "A" vs Dasmesh FC Tigers
Rino's Fury 'A' vs Ladner FC 'A'
West Van Royals vs Gastown FC 'A'
Unicorn FC can come out with a total new team. Devils are not the same team this year. Ladner always does well in thrid game. Dasmash is onother side that needs to pick it up. est Van should beat Gastown. Gastown does better in second half.

Fury might win if Uki scores some goals. Tough guy up front new addition to Fury, loves to sing green green grass of home. If he starts singing look out.

Thanks. We've added some players this year which should make us more competitive. That being said, our next three are against Saudi Arabia, Sarajevo, and Panthers, so it won't be easy. Hopefully we can carry some momentum from last week. Good luck against Dasmesh.

Hey depending on how things go you might get your wish and play against me. Have to come out of semi retirement for a couple games at least.
As for this week:
Green Devils over Unicorns
Meralomas vs Euro (always had tough games against these guys in previous years, huge game for us)
Van U and Dasmesh draw
Rino's over Ladner
Gastown over WV

As for my comments about the Loma's it was when I was a part of PCOV. We played them one year in the cup and they beat us in a shootout. They've had a few more games after I wasn't with them anymore and they were close.
Well looks like 2c is going to be tight this year with 5 or 6 teams (depending if Van U can be cinderella) having a shot at winning the league. In saying that I guess none of us should bother with the cup since we'll all get bitch slapped by the teams in 2a.

Dezza you should look for young Gazola from North Van and also Saley from North Van. To shore the Burnaby side. Last thing I heard that they are not playing. Is the apolster kid with you. Also good player when his head is clear.
Worst game in Polonia history!! Lots of give aways for goals early, and continued to spiral from there...
Although they had a huge amount of ball luck in the match, have to give the Roos credit for coming out and playing hard to the final whistle.... there towering center forward can be tuff to handle. Good target man up front.
Re-group time for Polonia and we'll see Roos again in the second half of the sched.
They've merged with a team called Celtic from the Richmond Premier division, mostly Irish players.
We (GFC Lions) lost to Saudi Arabia, 4 - 1, on Friday night. They are a strong team, young and fast. The game was closer than the scoreline shows, though. Two of their goals were deflected in off of our players, and we missed several chances from close range. We play Sarajevo next.
