Wasn't going to bite, but been through something similar as well. Vancouver Forest (div. 3) vs UBC JVs (don't remember if they were div.1 or premier at the time)... ask Mosher how happy he was that day:rolleyes:.

I believe we got down to the round of 16 that year before losing out to AIA in a hackfest at Hillcrest.

I believe it all changed many years ago when the league made Divs 2 & 3 sign on the B forms. We had some good runs as Peg Olys back in the day. Beats me why some Div 1 teams opt out ... best time of the year.

Too bad the top players from Campobasso got bought by the usual buyers. Would have been fun to see them compete with their home team in this amateur cup competition against the Premier sides.

It would be more like the FA Cup. Premier teams come in at a certain point in the competition and division 1-3 battle it out.

Or...

* Div 3 clubs start in late Sept
* Div 2 clubs join in early Nov
* Div 1 clubs join in early Jan
* Prem clubs join in Feb

Would BC Soccer really be all that pissy about the Imperial Cup (and Pakenham Cup) also being contested by B-form clubs? What's the worst that could happen - a B-form side wins the cup? Surely BC Soccer could just let that club partake in the A-form provincials?

Blue and White.....totally agree. IT would be great to see everyone in the cup. As for the 'B' Cup, league winners could play for that if they or do what the Fraser Valley does....have 14 cups a season and choose different cups each year to represent and still not win a Provincial Title.....'A' or 'B' ;)

Top Player. They were basically a one-man show last year, and frankly it was ridiculous that a professional level player in his prime was playing in Div 2. If he's going to take another crack at playing pro, which his attendance at the FC Edmonton combine indicates then it's in his best interest to be playing with a premier team, with higher level training and competition.

So really it's only too bad for WVFC and Norvan prem that he "got bought" by Rovers.
