Why not? Hopefully all of the involved teams qualify this year. I still think that 2 or 3 quite good VMSL sides are at risk of not qualifying this year at the expense of other entries.

WAB,
you truly do make excuses. Twice now, WVFC has come back from being down to you guys (3-0 at half to lose 4-3, remember that one). All the top teams have stinkers or bad luck. The games are what they are and any given team can beat anyone on any day. You would think that after all these years you would have realized this. Yeah maybe WV has been lucky, but it's a game, chill out and QUITYERBELLYACHIN. Missing this guy or missing that guy. Everybody has an excuse. How about you just couldn't do it on the day.

I think what Sir M is saying is that Sapp will suck without their underage players ... very dangerous to say in the event they meet in the Cup as such a message could appear in the other team's dressing room as motivation ... whatever - what Sir M is saying is that they will beat you - get on with it and prove him wrong - you will still wake up the next day...

Taxman,

Thank you for the compliments. If I can take anything from this year, it is Sapp is the best aging team in the league.
Other than Geoff Johnston, who turns 35 in April, everyone else on Sapp is 37 or older.

WAB - I don't think that a team of 37 and higher makes you an aging team in this league. I am guessing that the average age of the Firemen, Westside, Inter, and possibly Peg is close to 44-45. If your average is up there, then you have a case to say that you are an older team. Are you the best aging team? Maybe you think so, but I am guessing you would be all alone in the VMSL Master's bar on that one . . .

And the plot thickens. Way to stir it up Taxman.

Yes, but to be fair, Bro does kind of bring up the average for the WV team.

PS Thanks to all of you for clarifying to me what I said. I did not realize that I said that.

But what I will say is hopefully everyone involved in this discussion qualifies this year for the BCs.

Now go away, I am dealing with a Staff labour dispute and have to get these damned rankings out. We should never have unionized, and I should never have hired The Chest.

37 - I don't even remember what I did when I was 37 ... but I'll give you some advice - contribute to your RRSP and if you have kid(s) - their RESP(s).
Planks - I didn't mean to stir anything up - just that Sir M is too shy to say that WV has always walked all over Sapperton ...
Here is an idea for a new league - how about your total age on the field must exceed 480 years and max 11 players .... Sapp players could bring one or two parents/grandparents and make the grade..... and since Regs insists I ping RF in most every post - he could count in elephant years.
By the way - Moneyman thanks for including me as an honorable member of the FVSL AllStar team - you clearly have an eye for talent.

Taxman,
To clarify once again, WV has never walked all over Sapperton. If you look at the past scores it has been a one goal game at least 4 of the 6 wins. Sapperton is a hard, tough team to play against. They work hard, and have some good players. They play on a crap field, and they always seem to be missing players;)

Planks,

You have just posted more times in the last 3 days than in the last 3 years. Maybe such a concerted effort should be placed on making an appearance at training. As an FYI, we train at Ambleside on the turf. I believe that you have some knowledge on West Vancouver, so hopefully you can find it. :D:D

Planks,
I heard the surgery went well. Good to hear. Just ask Dickens on helpful hints on rehab for a frontal labotomy. He had his about 15 years ago, or at least it seems like he did.:D

T idiot.. you might have to cover a bit for me in Nations Cup. I find it takes me an extra minute or two to get back from my over laps. Congrats on the season you guys had.
