As the weather gets worse, will SU stay on top? What about the relegation battles? Will anyone lose their car?

Thoughts here please...

Re: VMSL Masters November 2006 Banter/Results

Its in the shop at Capilano Audi SCP.

Before Sunday, there were 546 kms on the Sir M A8.

But on the weekend, mileage was doubled: Sir M actually drove to the game and back . And then the paint got all hail damaged, the drivers side rear window got porcelain chipped, the laptop went missing, the navigation system...well at least those boys couldn't figure that out...but they even took my Park Royal Starbucks frequent customer card!...and I got a crack pipe stuck in one of the Pirellis (it was amazing how the Quattro system compensated for that as we sat lined up for the Port Mann for almost an hour on the way home...how could the Germans have tested for that!)

Someone said they saw a vaguely familiar old Scottish guy shepherding a number of unwashed hungry looking orphans away from the CAP parking lot, their dirty overcoats chock full of contraband.

And, it wasn't just me: Findlay said he lost a whole bag of Lululemon stuff out of the back of the Benz: he is so upset...well now he isn't playing this weekend (and who could blame him really?) ...something about jetting down to the place at La Costa to try to forget, hopefully that works we really can't afford to lose him for any length of time with Randy still in the French Riviera and all after that awful break-in at the loft, and Deeth still on the Gold Coast after his massage therapist broke things off with him...although I think Jim Easton is helicoptering in on Sunday last time I heard...

Luckily the rest of the side parked 15 blocks away, over in "Delta" or wherever.

Thanks for asking though.

Sir Mwhere'smycar:

Not to worry. The next time SU come to East Van, the kids here will steal it all right back, and you can buy it at the Flea Market down on Terminal. Again.:D

Just received a prepared message from the good folks at the Portuguese Club; they'd like to thank Danny Vaughan and his credit cards for keeping them in business during the dry spells between Champions League games, and for keeping the members in the back room solvent in pocket change.

Re: VMSL Masters November 2006 Banter/Results

Boys,

What goes around comes around, or so they say…...

Well the crops not due in until next week and my probation officer is off at some convention, so I figure I’ll go into Vancouver for the day. My plan is to go to Home Depot first to pick up a new tarp for the trailer and some fittings for the still. Then I’ll pop on down to Hastings, say hello to some old friends at the pawnshops, and then drop by the Post Office to mail some package the old lady sold on that new ebay thing before I head home. If everything goes well I should be able to pick up a two-four of Old Stock and be home for the back-to-back Springer shows and then Dr. Phil.

So I hop on the Skytrain, dodge a couple of the new transit fuzz at Columbia, do my thing at the Home Depot near that big dome thing by the water and find myself downtown just before lunch. I decide to stop in at that Starbucks that’s right beside the Granville station and get myself a coffee and a sandwich. I pay with one of those fancy new cards the kids got me for my birthday on Sunday…..

Well next thing I know I’m spread eagled on the ground, hands behind my back and a size ten inconveniently placed on my neck (now this might come as a bit of a shock to you but this isn’t the first time this has happened to me; so I’m a little surprised what happens next). I look up and see a cop who it strikes me, bears a strong resemblance to an unhappy Richard Gere. Well the cop starts asking me where I got the Looliesomething Yogi Gear I’ve got on. Let’s be clear about a couple things, first I don’t do yogi and second I don’t know who this Loolielennon guy is (but I will admit the chartreuse sweat suit I had on was a bit tight and a lot of people were looking at me kinda funny). Needless to say the cop is not too impressed when I point this out to him. Next the cop starts calling me a thief, and again it doesn’t seem to help my cause much, when I tell him I prefer to be known as an inventory control specialist; (somehow I got the feeling (as the cuffs were being tightened just a little more than usual) that this Crime Prevention Officer refers to Maintenance Engineers as Janitors and Servers as Waitresses). Then things get real nasty. He starts searching my bag and finds a picture of that old golfer chick Nancy Something or other, (one of the kids said he found the picture in an Audi, he’s a good kid though - he said he chased away a bunch of crack smoking American football players who’d been playing with the tires before he broke in; he’s smart too that kid– said he figured out a way to use the navigation system to disable the alarm – the kid says the driver could have a real problem though the next time he tries to go to Whistler (hope he likes Seattle) anyway I forgot the kid put it in my bag. Now the cop really starts getting agitated, and starts talking all sorts of nonsense - power rankings, hail storms, messy hair, traffic-jams, helicopters and personal tension solution providers. I had no clue what he was on about. But I did know things weren’t really going well for him when he started referring to my kids as orphans – I may not know who all their mothers are but one thing they are not are orphans…..mind you there are a couple of their mothers who would probably like them to be one step closer to being orphans, but that’s another story…..

Later, while they were putting me in the Alleged Criminal Transportation Solution Vehicle the silver haired copper was sitting on the curb and I could hear him mumbling to one of those Victim Services people Bro?, Spada?, Jimmy?, Jags?, Fin?, Dickens?, Danny?, Anti-Fan?, and finally Nancy?, Nancy?, Nancy?…..!

Anyway to cut a long story short, apparently my new tousled haired friend had a little bit more pull than I thought, so it’s unlikely that I’ll either make practice tonight or the game on Friday.

Folks:

Not sure what happened there. Appears somebody somehow hijacked my computer for a few minutes...

I've contacted my ISP to see where it came from, but they don't seem too concerned. It's got me a bit worried...

Re: VMSL Masters November 2006 Banter/Results

enough double agent talk...

this week's games

Richmond ( 14 ) vs SFU Clan ( 18 ) ...i'm betting on richmond getting there first win of the year but in a close game...with the loss SFU should move up in the rankings again...

Metro-Ford ( 4) vs I Hate Everyone FC ( 13 )...MF

Sapperton ( 2 ) vs Firefighters ( 8 )...Sapp

Columbus ( 6 ) vs Westside ( 3 )....a close one to call...Columbus

West Van ( 9 ) vs ICSF Inter ( 5 )...if the west van boys are all release in time from AA and Sir M finds his car...still a draw

PCOV ( 11 ) vs Surrey United ( 1 )...medical report will be out friday morning for PCOV...if ballbaby is on his spy mission maybe we have a chance???

over and out

Re: VMSL Masters November 2006 Banter/Results

Detective:confused: !!

When was the demotion?

Anyway, my picks...I think home field advantage is huge this year by the way...

RU at home will defeat SFU

MF at home will defeat Wickham

PCOV at home will tie Surry Utd.

Sapp at home will tie VFF

Columbus at home will defeat, or maybe tie WSide

West Van at home will tie Inter unless they win, or lose. Actually Sir M is the last one to ask about this one. I will know a lot better about this match come about Saturday.

Re: VMSL Masters November 2006 Banter/Results

4 maybe ties Sir M, kind of wishy washy, but I like it. Alot of the potential this week ties are really too close to call -- not even I am sure... well let's say two for sure. Trece, put a fin down on that in the backroom for me.

Needless to say, I am pulling for a resurgent Richmond to pass us in the power rankings -- NO TIES PLEASE!!!

Hoping to ditch my boss Friday night to take part in the MF / Wickham tilt, but not looking good, even with the cancellation of the Stones concert. Fond memories of the last year's war... or match... it is only a game right?

Good luck to all, and always park where you can see your car.

Re: VMSL Masters November 2006 Banter/Results

RUFC is really looking and requiring a Win this week
even though SFU is in the same boat as we are and the opportunity for 3 pts seams easier to grasp for both teams
since we are the bottom feeders

any insight on SFU ? (except for shooting ...on net)

Colemanj . thanks for the support and good luck on the weekend .. FYI watch out for the Sully / Mears "Sedin twins"cycle
We got caught flat footed all night on our 7-1 drubbing

T-Idiot,

Score on your chances and don't trip people in the box -- you'll be okay.

Well, don't be soft in the middle either cause Mr. Holdcroft isn't going to be.

No worries about the Sedins, hopefully, our anti-Sully weapon will be there Friday night. As to Stinky, not sure what they will do about him... maybe foul repeatedly and hope that works?

I think our best bet is to just get our starts suited up for a change -- they are already stronger without me turning up to play pylon.

Re: VMSL Masters November 2006 Banter/Results

My picks for this weekend's tilts:

Richmond/SFU -A tough one to call....SFU will score one more to win.
MF/Wickham -After a frustrating tie last week, the MF boys will be back to finish their dinner. MF by three
PCOV/SCUM -On the turf you never know...Does MM decide to go out and get laid rather than play?? United by two
Sapp/FF -Could be trouble for the New West lads...FF by one
Columbus/WFC -If they are on track, they win...Columbus
WV/Inter-Does Sir M get all of the boys back? Hopefully Inter by one....
Coach's team?? Who cares....

SCK our game is an official washout, (as I am sure are many others), but we are going to hold you accountable for future sausages.
