I have been told that todays result out in Coquitlam was West Van Flying Horses 9, Lordco Ajax 4. Apparently Chico played a combined center back/goaltender role for the FH, as Eagles was not well again. JAGS may be able to elaborate.

Johnny V with 6. Bro with one on a PK, Goat and Ian. A great day out for the Flying Horses. Chico in net for a bit, then Deetho and then Canada's Greatest Athlete. CGA had a shutout, so he is in net next week when Eagles phones in sick ........ again. Ref called it on the mercy rule with 15 left to play. Goat was MOTM in the first half. Hooves and horns flying around. Red and both Eastons were quality all day long. Few guys were complaining though ...................... too much play time. Best part about the day were pints afterwards. Next EVENT for the Flying Horses is next Saturday. Home Opener at Ambleside. Looking forward to it, already. Hopefully I don't shart myself again the night before our match.

So, as far as I can tell, John is leading goal scorer for the horsies with 6, followed by JAGS with two in the friendly. JAGS, is CBA related to CBG, who by the way is Plank's next door neighbour?

Finally whats going on with someone who it six foot four 280 lbs always being sick?

None of Johnny V's goals were anywhere near the quality of my finishing. CGA aka Canada's Greatest Athlete was everywhere today. Up front, in the midfield and in net. Biggest question today is how one of our players, who played about about 60 minutes finished the game a -1 in a 9-4 game..................... Hello Little Jua

Conductor I think the horsies ran up the score at both ends of the pitch by the sounds of it, so all is fair I think...Eagles get with it man.

Gene Kiniski died earlier this year. I didn't hear that this title had been re-assigned.

BTW I see Caribbean Allstars won 10-1. Who is the powerhouse Croatian team in Div 3 Masters Bronco? There is a team called HNK Vatreni and there is a team called NK Hrvat 1977...

The Vatreni team was pretty good - maybe no one over 40? I think our average age is 48. The score really didn't represent the game. We took it to them in the first half, then had two shityourpants defensive lapses that had them score two in the first half. We then tried to push, they got two more, and we finally iced one. They are a good team, but not way out of this league. Their big man up front has decent touch and finish. Goalie is solid.

In fairness, they weren't really shityourpants - just early season lack of focus by defense. WE should have had guys marked and covered off better. It will never happen again.

WVFC Flying Horses 5 Burnaby Wolves 4

Burnaby went up 2-0 in the first 15, but the Horses came back. West Van look dangerous going forward but unorganized in the back. Eagles with his first win, Bro with an unflattering plus/minus.

After the game, JAGS was asked to assess his performance...his answer: "depends"...

Good to see Dickens being a good club guy, coming down to support the Horses and watch, and then stripping down and showering with the players and throwing soap at the other bearcub after the game. Then I think there was something involving a limo showing up so I left.

We were forced to watch the Ancient Dragons after out match today. last I heard 10 nil down. Very sad to watch. When a team goes up 2 nil and does not seem one bit excited you know it will be a long day. they are in the wrong league because there is no Div 6
