0s at half... Pretty even. Then we came out of the locker room asleep and had a poor second half. Angus with 2 goals widening his lead atop the golden boot race.
0-0 at half with Westside having better chances in first half. Second half intro of Bobby Jhutty really changed the game around as he ended up with 4 assists. Rizal with 3 goals plus Desmond and Andrew Celenza adding singles. Garth LaGasse with a few keys saves throughout the game. Solid team effort.
Check out these two goals we scored in our Division 3 team. We're a new team whose majority of players have joined this year, and we are hoping to get promoted to Division 2. Let me know what you think.
WV 4-0 Inter. We had a bad first half and were lucky to come away with a 1-0 half time score. Goal came on a contraversy where the ball may or may not have gone over the line. Ref didn't call it in but the lino who was on the goal line called it a goal. One of my guys said it was in for sure. Second half we dominated and scored two goals very quickly. We scored another and they had a few squandered chances. Kindel was MOTM as he made at least 4 or 5 huge saves that kept Inter in the game. Give him the pizza. He earned it tonight. Good win and we move on to Imperial cup next week.
just took in the columbus and pegasus game at trillium.
columbus finishes off a nice play in the first half to go up. peg comes back to tie 10 minutes later. soon after, a weird play, where the columbus goalie wallops a pass over centre onto the path of the striker(who was easily 3-5 yards) beyond the last defender. he finishes the play and columbus take the lead. completely offside. during the play - the temple keeper and last defender collide and both need to be carried off.
this seems to be the TSN turning point. soon afterwards columbus look knackered and pegusus decide to put it into 5th gear. it looked like a frickin track meet and pegusus was the Ben Johnson of the show! goal after goal after goal after goal after goal.......
WS 2 MF 3
Could have been 3 nil MF after about 5 minutes but WS managed to concede only one early goal, free kick mishandled by the keeper and MF slotted in the rebound. WS then tied it up with the goal of the month. Peter Buree busted his ass to get to a
long ball to the corner and ripped a cross to the far post where Reece Branion bicycled to the top left corner. News reel goal.
Same kid almost bagged another 2 minutes later but was headed off the line by MF defender. Rest of the game mostly favoured MF (rippers at both ends) and a fair result in the end. Lost count of the phantom fouls called by the Ref
Big upset in Imperial Cup action at John Oliver Sunday. Chile comes from behind twice to bag the winner 2 mins from the end of the 2nd overtime to upset favoured Delta 4 - 3. All 7 goals were of the highlight reel variety. Delta were the most impressive with the attack but Chile would not be denied,as they came from 2 nil down after 45. 3-3 after regulation and both teams had chances as the overtime progressed.
