1 nil west van. I thought we pressed them most of the first half and were unlucky not to get one or two. Sd defended well and never gave up. After potting one finally i thought we relaxed a bit and sd picked their game up. They had us on the ropes for about 10 mins. They missed pk we missed breakaway missed chances at both ends but best team on day over all got the win. Jeff player had a strong game at the back for them. Ref was shocking! If the Mighty Castilians couldn't beat West Van,there was no way 4th in the league,never won a trophy,South Delta was going to beat them.

but like Qualicum Eagles they are a hard working team and a great bunch of lads.

Lets hope the Dragons of the FVSL win today and make it to the final where Kuschy could cause all sorts of problems.

I can actually expand on that red card thing a bit. This was a FVSL crew, some of them the same as out in Poco last week (including last nights head official). That referee gave SD a PK in the 88th minute. Then he added three minutes, and then in that 93rd minute, he gave our Captain a straight red on a play 25 meters out on a foul that was not a breakaway, a bit of a flow of play/clattering thing where the SD player went down quite easily. He explained that Steve was "the last man back" when there were three blue shirts in line with the ball. The final whistle blew about 30 seconds later.

Steve is out and we will miss him, its hard to have that many years pro experience and his leadership out of the lineup. But he has only played a couple games this year in the BCs anyway Regs, as he has been hurt with a weird toe injury believe it or not. Stepping in, Notty, Burrzy, Kaiser, Carph, Besty, etc at that spot have played in a way that I have not noticed much difference, so we should be fine.

When Scotland played the Germans in The Nations Cup,Kuschy barely got a touch,thro excellent coaching tactics by Sir M.
(incidently I believe 6 Castilians played a part in that tornament)

Dragons deserved the win. Refing and linesmen were awful. Had to be valley refs, combined age of the three officials was under 45
