Good result tonight, but not really a very well played game by the Caps. Knighton with some timely saves, plus Eddie Johnson and the rest of the Sounders with some pretty bad misses. The stats don't lie though. Out-possessed, out-chanced, and outplayed for much of the game. Rusin, Harvey, and Davidson are all plugs. YP Lee looks his age this year (how many times did he get burned by Neagle?) and who the hell does Hertzog think he is -- a failed elastico and 360 spin in the 1st half, then he does 4 consecutive stepovers without actually beating his man in the 2nd. Play of the game was him getting chopped and hobbling off.

So far so good, not much he could do on the goal.

Regs you are correct. They are Croats and not twins. Rick was much bigger guy in size. Randy was thin but way faster than Rick. Rick played D randy was our right front attacker. He could score at will. Yet Bob never gave him a chance. Rick on the other hand was on the teams but due to body builders body always head pulls an rips. Soccer skill Randy by miles. Soccer Smarts Rick by miles. Dasovic made the most out of soccer from them all. Marcina is close second. Sulentic and Brkich third. One small club gave thirty guys to high level of soccer. Yet BC soccer killed the club.
Caps coach uses old guy on D yet he has a best D in the league sitting on the bench most of the time.Erik Hurtado could be the best D they ever head. Give kid a chance and watch. Bring the other Latino guy and stick him in the middle of the Park and we will make the playoffs.
Keeper is a huge improvement, but middle of the Park they turn the ball over way easy for MLS. Not good enough in my opinion. Seattle will catch us if we do not let the young guys run bit more.

So the Whitecaps arrive at PDX Airport to find out their bus has already left without them and they had to take taxi's to the hotel. Turns out TBL, Outkast and a few other black knights who were there for a stag ended up getting a nice private ride on the Caps bus, and the driver didn't realize his mistake till they were almost at the hotel. #Brilliant

Im not sure how many people can say they stole the Caps bus but what a story. We probably looked like the most un-professional bunch especially since as soon we took off from the airport we were asking the bus drivers where the closest liquor store was and how the escorts rank up in Portland.

Besides the great start to the trip, Jeld-Wen stadium is a place every footy fan should go. The Caps fan were magic, and the mediocrity of the game had no impact on the overall experience.

If we end up having a playoff game there, were going for the caps bus once again..

Following the Caps while touring Europe right now (sort of backwards, oui?), and it seems that the Caps finally started the midfield trio of Koffie, NRC, and Daigo we've all been suggesting. Rennie must be reading TTP.
