Beta Contest: Football Predictions

For those who like to make predictions on everything footy-related, here's a new system put into place here on TTP:

Football Predictions - TTP

Some highlites of the system:

- upcoming matches
- last 5 results for teams in match
- live scores
- view all previous results
- predict match outcomes
- scoring system
- rankings per competition/per month/per season/overall
- subscribe and be notified by email of upcoming matches
- select only the leagues you want to see/participate in
- current league tables
- and more!

I'm labeling this a beta contest because that is what it will become probably starting with the FIFA WC 2010 this June in South Africa.

Following that will be 2010/2011 competitions such as Champs League, Europa League, EPL, La Liga, SPL (yes will be added), Seria A, Bundesliga, etc and perhaps mid-season addition of the MLS.

A schedule of prizes and whatnot will be formed going forward depending on the feedback given by everyone here over the coming months.

BTW, I should add that you can change your picks/scores at anytime leading up to each match KO time.

Also, the scoring system is as follows:

Totally wrong/no pick made: 0
Correct winner/loser picked: 1
Correct winner/loser AND goal difference: 2
Correct winner/loser WITH EXACT result: 3

So far cside17 & KNVB have some predictions in for upcoming games - how do guys find the system? Easy enough? Any confusing items?

Hmmm...I can't seem to make any picks. I can view everything ok but I don't see where to click or input my picks.

YES! I need to still 'translate' some of the names - that one caught my eye today and I thought of you right away. You'll note Liverpool is fine though

just put the goals scored for each team in the boxes to the right of every match listing (that hasn't taken place yet of course)

Bastad .... there were a few odd translations but only the correction for La Viola is really needed.

All kidding aside Regs, I have tried on several platforms and always the same result: it doesn't let me click to enter in any predictions...AND THE FIRST GAME IS TODAY

Berg & Captain,

I'm not sure what is going on for both of you. I've tested on a couple of different browsers with no issues. The only common thing I can see is that you are both premium members but this application doesn't have usergroup permissions assigned.

Hmmm.

Could some other premium members chime in?
