Div 3 DIV 3 - 2012- 2013 SEASON - Banter, Predictions, Results

Groups are set, one month to go !
5 new teams in 3B ?!?!?
Friends, Killarney and Strathcona in 3A, we'll have a lot to talk about.
Gastown in div2 and cat? Looks like they took over Yaletown FC.
If anybody is up for friendly in August, let me know.

yeah it is lol. my friend took over Zawisca. He couldn't figure out a name so he just threw one up. We should change next year to a new name. And yes, your right, it should be Kurva lol, there will be a lot of that when we play. Can't wait for the season to start, i have no idea what to expect from Div3.

So I expect all these new teams are just renames/reshuffles of existing teams and players?

Anyone got any info on the strengths of these teams?

Strengths: they're all good enough to play Div. 3 soccer.
Weaknesses: they're all good enough to play Div. 3 soccer.

trece lol, your insights on these teams are very much in depth. TSN could never match your reports haha.. too bad we are not in the same group, i like to play against teams that i know of a little. Looks like group B all old teams folds, renames and hopes of better soccer. We kept only 4 or 5 guys from old Zawisca. All others are new players imported from the Bundesliga B teams. We worked out a deal with M.Gomes for a loan..

if i'm not mistaken Astro Matic should be a descent team. I know they are based from Richmond and played in the Chinese league. How good they will be we will have to see but i bet they are in good shape as they play all year round and have a pretty big base of players.

We're all in good shape. Round is definitely a shape... had Celtic out last night training hard; some of the guys were even able to find the cooler by the end of the session. We probably won't be quite as Irish as last season, as some of the bhoys have gone back home.

Astro is good enough to play Div. 3. Whether they are good enough to win in Div. 3 is another story. Very different style of play in the Chinese league - no physical contact or hard challenges, so they might not like the transition too well.

From what I know/remember:
Bari- weak team 2 seasons ago
Bosna - will be favorites to go back to div2, i was surprised to see them relegated
Cosmos- shouldn't have trouble with them, although they made it to the finals of their summer league.
NorWest- played them couple days ago, won 5:1, could've been worse for them.
Got feeling that someone took over Blarney Stone (Caspian or Pumas?)

Wrong on the first one for sure...no way we are losing to some Pylons from Surrey
Norvan vs PCOV should be a good one

Cliff Sr. Cobras were impressive in 2C last season
