League is a go, Thursday and Sunday's at the infamous Adanac Park. The league will have 5 teams in it this year and look to grow after getting off the ground again. Zenga is spot on, teams will be wearing official kit from Serie A teams (ie. Juventus, Roma, AC Milan) and the final will be on Italian Day at the Italian Center in June. 18 player roster with 3-4 imports on every team.
There is nothing like a Sunday afternoon down at Adanac on a sunny day, can't wait!

The rebirth of the league is being organized by the Italian Canadian Sports Federation (ICSF).
Start date: May 10, 2009
End date: June 21, 2009 at Beaconsfield Park, the final day of Italian Week.
Games will be Thursday nights at Clinton Park and Sunday doubleheaders at Adanac Park.
Currently there are 5 teams. Under the current format, one team will not make the playoffs.
The teams are named after Serie A clubs:
Juventus -- managed by John Audia
AC Milan -- Rino Consiglio and Sal Cuccione
Fiorentina--Giovanni Valente
Roma--Mike and Paul Favaro
Inter Milan (possibly Palermo) --Mimo and Joe Marrello
The teams will be outfitted in authentic kit from the same supplier.
The league has BC Soccer approval and has a full set of rules and regulations.
There will be qualified referees and assistant referees likely selected from those who referee in the VMSL. The VMSL referee coordinator, Angelo Pulice, will coordinate referee assignments.
Teams will have a maximum of 18 players, 14 of whom must be of Italian heritage.
The draw for the schedule will be March 30, 2009.
