It was an easier match than we thought it be. It seemed like the Peg. boys were either out of shape or hung over from friday night that was spent with Hard Ballz and Bring It. Both teams had a brutal start to the game and were not playing as well as they could. Sikh lads controlled majority of the play in the game and Peg. did not finish the odd chances they got. Hard Ballz (unexpectedly, without warming up) came in with 20 minutes left and caused a havic for the Peg. d. A couple of glorious chances but could not finish and I give the Peg. goalie total props who robbed me point blank inside the six ( good save!). Bottom line Sikhs 3-0 over Peg.. Peg. player hit the post on a penalty shot while it was 3-0 which could have given Peg. a little energy to fight back but it didn't happen. Overall a shaky performance by both teams but we'll take the points we need. S.T vs. RUFC next week at Minuro if any TTPers would like to come out. Animal, Mackers, Bring It, and Hard Ballz are going to Matches to hook up with some cougars after the game.....CHEERS!
P.S................PGR ( Kurgan )if you look straight up you could probably see Sikh Temple and CHEESEY'S a$$ crack looking down at you so open wide........
That is my territory. Please keep you and your younger friends away from the greatest Cougar bar EVER.
I will be at the game as long as it is not raining and/or cold. Hopefully Mauricio the fcuking cnut will be reffing and destroy any possiblity of an interesting match....
Hardly any Ballz has provided a fairly accurate analysis of the game. Both teams started slow with a lot of errant passes. Peg had some early chances, but failed to test the keeper. First goal came off a cross from the left flank to a guy standing behind me in the six yard box (please read in OFFSIDE). He took a touch and knocked it to his teammate who was three yards to the right of him (please again read in OFFSIDE). From two yards out he nicely pushed it by Big Mario for the 1-0 lead. Second goal came with 10 seconds left in the half. Nice run from the Sikh centerback with terrible hair. He and his Rick James hair came from the midfield to beat the offside trap. Two Sikh players were offside, but not the Super Freak who slotted it nicely under our keeper. Second half was a bit of a yawner from both sides. Lucky a few of the Sikh fan had a 24 pack of Canadian and a bucket of KFC to keep them entertained. Sikhs final goal came in the middle of the second when the ball slipped by me , my attempt at a game saving slide tackle failed and the Sikh lad took a shot that deflected off our center back and looped over Mario. Cotton Ballz is right that the finishing on our PK was less than quality. It probably would have been too little too late.
Sikhs were deserving of the three points and play some nice soccer. We had some spots in the game where we knocked the ball around and had the Sikhs back on their heels. Other points we couldn't pass wind.
Pegs have hit the injury bug early in the season and started the game with 4 starters out of the lineup. We lost another starter midway through the first half. Our lone sub today was our manager and he put out a quality effort when he came in. A few of the infirm will be back this weekend for our match with Clan, so we should be alright to get some points off them.
Sikhs will do well this year, but they should not be surprised to see a stronger and healthier Peg side on the return leg in the second half of the season.
Apprentice how did the so called favorites from side B do today? ACM the unstoppable force
On another note why the hell does 2 teams from side A get religated and only 1 from side B
I realize there are 3 second divisions teams to get promoted, but shouldn't there be a play-off to see who gets religated. I also realize that 2 div 2 teams were promoted to Side A, but as we can all see side A is much stronger and more competitive, besides a few wallopings to Point Grey and City. I read this in the vmsl rule book. Is this correct?
P.s. Not that I'm worried about religation, I wondering on behalf of City and PG
Lawts, as a teammate I feel it is my duty to point out that your spelling has been horrendous so far on your posts. I figure I might as well point this out before the legion of editors jump in.
You mentioned at the clubhouse about the format for relegation, I also am curious to find out if what you say is true?!
Side "b" leaders did not dissapoint there legions of fans today as we won for the 5th straight game. 2-1 over Haggars.
It was a poorly played game on a beautiful pitch. McCartney Park was an excellent field. We went up 10 minutes into the game as our player scored from the corner flag. Second half we had scored again as the ball trickled passed the goalie. The ref not paying attention called for play to continue. The goalie and the rest of his teamates knew the ball went in but the ref pulled a maurizio. Our coach then got the boot. They came back and scored a beauty with 5 minutes left but The Apprentice was at the right place at the right time to pot home the winner with just over a minute to go. Big three points for us and hopefully we'll make it 6 in a row next week.
You're right! Here's Ron Jeremy - the greatest man in porn. Couldn't find a pic of Ivor Evans on the net, but I agree that he's a spitting image of RJ - when he's not throwing a tantrum.
S.T and the RUFC game has been changed to Sunday at 2pm at King George field #1. No idea why it was changed from Friday, but I know that Saturday had no fields available. Hey Mackers, where's a place to hang out after the game where we won't get shot at by a bunch of dips!
Don't be to sure that the game will be played Sunday at King George Part of the new RUFC stategdy is to keep the other teams guessing as to when and where they will be playing us............ So you might want to show up and be ready to play Friday night at Minoru, and Saturday at King George #3 and just in case Sunday at King George #1
I must say that the league has not dropped the ball this time It is entirely the city of Richmond and those representing them. Sorry guys for all the changes but at least we have a decent pitch to play on which was what the last change was all about!
