Us 3 Ajax 2. First chance in a while to take it to one of the weaker sisters on the other side of the draw almost backfired on us. We were up 3-0 midway through the 2nd half and took the foot off the gas too fcuking early. Our back up back-up backup keeper waved at a ball kicked off their guy's shin from about 35 and it was in the back of the net. About 5 minutes later they pushed through our 2 centre backs who were both saying "after you" to their forward and again the ball had to be picked out of our net. We played hold-on for the remainder and were able to keep further brain farts from causing repercussions.

Kudos to Ajax for not giving up; they're mostly a good bunch of lads but are just too long in the tooth to be competitive - I think their average age on the back line is now over 50. We'll take the points and move on, but still need to play more consistently.

One more in the books. Us 6, Dragons 0.

These guys need more help than Mr. Base. We went up 2-0 in the first 5 minutes, and then tried for most of the next 35 minutes to hand the game to them, but they refused to take it. What's the deal with that?

Another infamous motivational halftime speech later, Casual FC sauntered back onto the pitch and for the first 5 minutes went right back to where we left off, until the ship was righted again. 4 goals in the second half against their rather hapless back line and that was all. We did not attempt to run up the score as others have done against them; forwards were pushed to defensive roles, and defenders were allowed to play up front.

It was a fairly innocuous game; Rene did not give out any cards (just a couple of warnings - gracias, Jéfé), and for the most part an enjoyable excuse to burn a few calories before a BBQ and some carbonated hop-based beverages on a sunny afternoon.

Us 2 Caribbean Allstars 0. Again, we tried to give them the game but they wouldn't take it. Both goals in the 2nd half. Probably could have been more, but for Wayne's heroic efforts in their back line and our forwards' inability to stay onside.

Up against Rainforest with a very depleted lineup. Hope they take it easy on a bunch of washed up and injured old farts, because I don't want to hear about it on Rintoul's show...

Trece - looks like you took Roma to a tie and played spoiler to them going up to Div. 2. At best, they can tie Wolves (needing to beat the Horsies), and I am guessing For/Against goals decide the tie breaker which currently has Wolves up by 5 with 2 games to play.

TAK beats Rainforest in last game of the season for their first win. I am guessing Franksie and Tequila Sauza were missing from the line up. Well done Tak - no one goes home a loser this year.

Horses beat GFC today 2 to 1. Atko with another PK save, he is 3 for 3. One game to go against Hrvat, hope to go undefeated!

Today's problem was coaching. We had a good one this week, but a bunch of tired old guys who have played 3 games in 7 days. We were a day late and a dollar short on most plays today. Good thing was that the pints were cold and plentiful after the game.

Problem was coaching!! FU Jags. Horses could be in shambles with all the transfers that took place. People were moaning today on and off the park. Glad I had a 14 hour sleep last night and did not take things too seriously.

PS: Horses are interested in buying into a Masters Div. 1 spot! Any takers.

One game to go and then off to the Squamish Tournament in April.

Eagles ......... read the whole post. We survived today because of coaching. If not, it would have been a moanfest x10 and we would have lost. Coaching was our only strongpoint today. Rest of us were shiite, except for the post game pints and the Cross.
