Good game all around.
In my opinion i think we held a lot more posession in the first half and generated a chances but couldn't put them in.
Second half they switched up the 2 forwards and all hell broke loose. Kusch and our sweeper went at each other within seconds, just like all last year. It suddenly got whiny and chippy and the game changed for a while, then settled down again back to soccer.
Chances by both teams in the second half but nobody could finish. We cleared one off the line and they put one off the post, and we failed to capitalize on ours again. There was a good 15-20 min where everything seemed to be in our end of the pitch and they were pushing hard, then we pushed back and and off a great through ball, OH put in another goal, from another ridiculous angle with 5 minutes to go.
Reffing was crazy. Cards flying everywhere for what i think would normally be a free kick but apparently warranted yellows. Missed a handball in their box in second half, missed all the dirty crap away from the ball and generally just called soft calls and gave out cards with ease.
Not sure how but they were able to add a player after roster check and his signoff, and were able to play him without having him on the team sheet. I believe the refs response after the game was "I was going to add him later". WTF? Is that how it works in VMSL? Guys show up whenever and you just "add him later". Nice!
Game could have gone either way last night i think, but we got the points and move on to Romanian at home.

I pretty much agree with you Yoda, but you have to watch out for Sapperton at home as the season wears on...they are sneaky.
Plus if it is anything like last year for us, Westside can expect a significant post Western Canadians win hangover...in more than one sense of the phrase.

Sir M, watched a doc last night called "Carts of Darkness" about the buggy pushers on the north shore - pretty sure that they had the AntiFan on, and outed his domicile. Have there been any sightings of our favourite ball-swiper lately?

PCOV 2-0 Westside. We played well even without many starters. Westside had 11 with 0 subs and nobody on the sideline. I'm assuming some of the guy's are recovering from the Nationals. 3 points were up for grabs and it was a great opportunity for us to take advantage and we did. Zico scored one in the 1st and one in the 2nd half for the win. On to next week!

11 guys...2 guys brought in fron O40's, no coach and 3 points pissed away.
