While I love your enthusiasm Yoda, should we expect standings/past results/predictions every week? Or just the week after you have strung a couple of wins together. I don't recall the same enthusiasm after week 1

I did them after week one. But it was in the FVSL thread. Forgot which league we were in.

Did them all last year in FVSL just to keep chatter going and to breakup Sids posts.

Didn't do one first week as I expected a little more banter out of the VMSL boys without any help.

My moderating does not depend on my weekend results......usually.

Ok Yoda, here is my 2 cents. For the record, I never predict scores on the weekend but don't want you to feel left out in the rain so here goes;

Whatever Conductor says, the opposite will happen...plane and simple

If Conductor doesn't predict anything, I will go with;

PCOV over Romania because they're the bestest team in the land
Columbus over MF as it's not in MF on a Friday night
Richmond/Poco tie. Not sold on the mighty Castillians yet....squeeker win against 22nd Ave followed by a thumping of a team who are obviously in disarray. Couple that with an apparent resurgence in Richmond and I'll say a tie.
22nd Ave/Sapp Tie....probably zeros.

It was 1-0, then 2-0 then 3-0 and then 4-0.
10 minutes later both teams took a break.
Sapp goalie made several good saves.
Poco goalie made a good save late.
The ref was strange.
Pretty clean game.
Pints were cold.

Nicely done.....guess the game report I heard of Poco/22nd Ave wasn't wrong after all.

I will wade in...I will go with PCOV because they have the best defence in the league apparently...

I agree with DB on the Columbus MF game...for the same reason cited by DB...

I disagree with DB on the Richmond game...unless Richmond were missing a lot of guys in week two...

I have no idea about Sapp and 22nd Ave as I am still scratching my head about Sapp, but I will take the under...

The Conductor jinx continues....PCOV 2-2 Romania. I don't like playing the blame game but unfortunately, the ref (Nick) stole the show. 20 min in gives Gebbie his second yellow (no warnings, both shocking calls). 30 seconds remaining in the first half, yours truly gets a straight red for an all ball (two foot tackle according to him) tackle. A scrum broke out and I was fortunate enough to drag their best player Ned off with me. 0-0 at halftime. With 20 minutes to go, a bad giveaway by our last man back gave Romania the 1-0 lead. We tied it with 10 to go. A few minutes after, Romania gets the go ahead goal with 5 to go........And finally( Yes, everything happened in the last 15 minutes), Mark Gomes gets taken down in injury time and gets a PK. He goes on the score and make the final 2-2. Very shocking officiating tonight. I thought fraser valley officiating was bad but this guy was pretty close to taking the cake tonight. Anyways, hopefully, we can get some bodies back and healthy for our tilt with Westside.
