The Firemen boys are right in questioning why it took two bloody months to figure this one out. Azzi should be a consultant for the criminal justice branch regarding timely legal procedures, given how quickly our local magistrates solved the "Who Punched Steve Moore" caper.

Two months of investigation to dock Firemen three points coz Jarvie played without his ID card = four months of collecting evidence to sentence Bertuzzi with 45 hours of highway litter collection and reading to the elderly. Sounds about right. Get Jarvie to conduct a press conference as to why he wasn't allowed to read his victim impact statement in front of Tremarco. That'll show 'em.

I honestly think William gets bored in the 94 minutes he spends in the office on a weekly basis. Decisions like these keeps teams on their toes, and keep TTP going strong during mid-week lulls. Everybody walks away a winner. Well, everybody but Firemen.

Section 2.5 of VMSL constitution / bylaws says... (and I'll paraphrase to save ink and my sanity) "The President of the league (William Azzi) doesn’t have a vote on these types of matters unless it’s to break any ties... blah, blah, blah... and any director on the board who has any involvement with clubs in which the decisions may directly or indirectly affect them, must step down from any such vote yada, yada, yada...

My guess as to why it took two months is, the Christmas break. When was the last directors meeting? Also, the ref's can't stop the players from playing he can only notify the other team.

I think some of the Azzi slander, Herb, should be cut to a minimum that is of course until he selects Sapperton as the Team of the Week again.
Hi Marty!!!

I'm not sure I understand where you're going with that question BJB? Normally when I tie my laces I prefer the right middle, but if someone is already sitting there I'll be forced to go left. Bastards, don't they know my left is is just for standing on? I suggest if you're looking for me at a bench you start on the extreme right and work your way left... just like the way you read. If I'm not there look for the nearest Surrey player with his boot kicked up Sulentic's ass.

We tried, certain members of the league executive (Tremarco and Azzi) told us there was absolutely nothing they could do to change the date or time of the game.

As a member of the Fireman team I have to say it is appalling that we can't get a card picked up. The matter is very simple though if the fine was paid points stand, fine not paid points get taken away. We are not professionals here and mistakes are going to happen.

Ranger: a team should be fined for cash for using an eligible player? That is nuts!!

This I found confusing.
What I'm saying is a team should be fined for not having his league ID card at the match.
If he's eligible but has no card - Fine the club, don't dock points.

The rich teams could play a guy forever leaving small market teams struggling. Everyone would use suspended players in big games! WAB would find a way to get his suspended guys into unis for big games.

That I found amusing. :D

Imagine if Azzi awarded the 3 points to MF!

In Azzi's defense, I recall a big game a few years back when MF were fighting to avoid relegation. An accumulation of yellows was an issue for a MF player. The player sat that big game and not the following week. This was in the day when the date of yellow card suspensions was very cloudy.

Lessons learned: 1. play it by the book. 2. unless you want to take the time to run the league, don't challenge Azzi.

Surrey 3 Us 1. We led 1-0 at the half and well, didn't at the end of the game. Surrey are a good side and were full value for the win. HOWEVER, I must say that the VMSL is an absolute fcuking nightmare. Our game was scheduled to kickoff at 8:30. At 8:55 there were still no officials for the game. Numerous calls to the league office were met with "Angelo was supposed to have a crew there to do the game, but we can't get a hold of him." Are you fcuking kidding me? Kevin eventually showed up and did the game sans linesmen. Further, the lights went out with about 5 to go. If we were cnuts (like Surrey) we'd protest, but don't worry KNOBBY I don't think we will!! ;)

It just keeps getting better.......the league is really having a rough week, to say the least.

Seriously, what happens to that last 5 min? Will it be made up somewhere along the way? This is pretty shocking. To even schedule a game at 8:30 on any night, especially weeknight is stupid.

Actually, Bronco it was 1:26 into extra time when the lights went out... well the lights went out for you when our forward had his face ripped off in the 6 and the Ref gave us the PK but who was keeping track? To be fair to Kevin in this situation... The poor guy is at home undoubtedly watching porn or American Idol when the phone rings and the poor bugger is told to zip up and get his ass down to Cloverdale ASAP the other ref didn't show up. No linesmen and about a 20 second warm up and card check at half time I think he did a pretty damn good job. Not to mention 91:26 minutes of abuse from about 150 Croatians. I do envy your crowds.

Nice to finally put a face to the name BJB. The nightmares will last for weeks...

Fcuk, I swear you were some little weasely gob. Nothing like walking off a dark pitch after a little push up with the other side and have this giant shadow come up and say... KNVB? I'm BJB....

Croatia played a good game in the first half and are a decent side. Their problem is they signed the Jinx named Babic. ;) Poor bugger is 1 for 15 this year. Sulentic is a heck of a player and if AK wasn't such a moany cnut I'd say the same about him.

Actually I thought that is what your keeper did to Darkmeat on one of the last corners. Was more than enough for a pk against you.
