that's a good signing. Left footed which Captain Shamrock will love, along with having Celtic on Robsons CV. More importantly I have watched many of his games in the SPL while with Celtic and the arabs, he's a good ball winning midfielder with good passing ability.

Now that's done I cannot imagine bringing in Bentley on loan unless Spurs are paying his wages in full.

Midfielder Barry Robson of English Championship side Middlesbrough is expected to join the Vancouver Whitecaps on a free transfer in May, according to a Daily Mail report out of England.
The 33-year-old, who has played 16 times for Scotland, was a youth player for Rangers before stops at Inverness, Dundee United and Celtic.
He was part of the Celtic side that won the Scottish Premier League title in 2008 and Scottish League Cup in 2009. He joined Middlesbrough in 2010.
Regarded as a tenacious midfielder with attacking ability, the left-footed Robson has six goals and four assists in 23 games for Boro this season.
He's also committed (54) and suffered (48) more fouls than any teammate, and has a team-high 10 yellow cards.

Middlesbrough is currently eighth in the Championship, seven points back of leaders West Ham United.
Whitecaps coach Martin Rennie, who is Scottish, has long said he wants to add a ball-winning central midfielder to the mix.
He spent part of his off-season back home in Scotland and scouting in England. And Rennie's assistant coach, Paul Ritchie, also a Scot, played at Dundee United from 2004-06, which overlapped with Robson's time there.
Robson was one of the Scottish Premier League's top-scoring midfielders while at Dundee United.
At Celtic, he scored in the Champions League against Barcelona and, in 2008, the winning penalty kick in an Old Firm game against Rangers at Celtic Park.

Hopefully he last a few games before he get suspended...just saying :D

Ask him yourself on Twitter... make sure you tell him you're not gay first though or he might not answer :)

There has been a lot of talk about Boca.

He's expected to be deemed redundant by Duff and Phelps (The Administrators running Rangers) and now the Caps hold the top allocation spot. Rangers will either offer him a 50% slash to his wages or he can be sold to a league where their transfer window is still open...like MLS, where VWFC hold the #1 allocation spot right now.

Maurice Edu is another at Rangers that could come back to MLS from Rangers

Boxall will be nowhere near the starting XI.

Bocanegra is a central back. Partnered Demerit at the last WC.

They have that Carlyle Mitchell and the new Argie Martin Bonjour also. The Caps, imho, have the best fullback tandem in the league now in Rochat and YP Lee. Adding Boca would likely make the Caps backline by far and away the best (on paper) in the league.

I'd say decent to good. Rangers are in fire sale mode. They cannot sell to Countries with shut transfer windows, unlike MLS' who's window is open. Since Boca is a USMNT player, he will have to return via Allocation and the Caps hold the first pick.
BBC Sport - Wylde and Celik leave Rangers as administrators discuss wage cuts
Whitecaps eye U.S. international captain Carlos Bocanegra as Scotland's Rangers fizzle financially

Caps also have an open DP spot, and they waived Nguyen and could easily waive/cut/trade another to make way.
