A hard fought win for us, Bingers had way too many fast, young kids--good thing we had linesmen...and Merkl...and Regs.

On to Delta in Saturday's final. What happened Mackers/John?

Keeper,

You won't have to face RUFC as we lost 1-0 on a late penelty. An evenly played game that could have been won by either team but a mistake led to the penelty and a disappointing loss.

Sorry but I don't know the name of the team that played against us but Shewy and Tish from Fireman "A " were out there........probably a Delta team as the game was played in Ladner!

Good luck,

John

John,

I won't have to face anyone 'cause I haven't played in well over a month or two, and secondly, my team was the No-good-oughta-be-kicked-out-of-the-league-Knights. But thanks for suggesting I made it to the final.

there's a couple

J_B,

I believe 5bigtoes is playing in the first final at 10am (don't ask me what division... are there 3 different ones?) and Peter is playing in the final at 2pm. Both are at Association. Captain Shamrock is running the line in the 10 am match.

I might show up too.

My career is complete

I have now fulfilled my life-long dream of being on the winning team in every fcuking league in the lower mainland that counts :D

Imports 3-1 Delta

Now I know what this league means... sorry for making fun of you Captain when you claimed 8 Richmond championships over your career. I hope this means we can be friends again.

Yours in drinking pints,

~TB.

Until you've laid claim to the prestigious BSL Supercup, you have won nothing!:p

Leave it to a valley farmer

Nobody has ever heard of the fcuking BSL before so I can't see how it counts for anything.

Shouldn't you be drinking with Cocco right now?

I can't go drinking tonight, because I have to be up at sunrise to milk the goats. Besides, I don't drink.

Delta PA 3

Richmond 2

It was a fairly even affair. Great day for fitba! The old men after struggling all year with numbers, produce enough to win in the final.

Would you believe . . .

Apparently there were some postponed/cancelled games last season, and Richmond Utd had (has) some chance at catching the Westside (WFC) Rangers. As a result, instead of letting things lay as were and getting on with the new season, there will now be a make-up game between the two teams to decide who the winner of last year's league cup is (was).

Thursday, April 25 6:00 (field TBD) -- for bragging rights and $300.

Keeper,

By the sounds of your post you make it seem like it is RUFC's fault? This is news to us but will make for a fun start to the summer.........and followed with a few pints it might seem:D

I don't actually -- our regular manager is away on his honeymoon and isn't back until early next week. As a result, one of the other guys is organizing, and we haven't heard yet.

My best guess is that it'll be at South Memorial. I post when I hear.

Thanks, I was hoping that it would be Association ( I do live 5 minutes away) and the park looked in pretty good condition.....

Looking forward to the game,

I'm sure both teams and the league are really happy about this decision to play a fcuking 2001 Summer League soccer match in 2002. Fcuking cracker.
