Strong winds played a part in the first half, but we had the wind at our backs for the 2nd 45. Got to be better to face Alberta tommorrow.

Greetings from Montreal! Game 1 was played today vs New Brunswick. Final score: BC 2 New Brunswick 0. Palani and Marcina with the goals. A very good start to the tournament for us in ubelievable weather. Not a cloud in the sky and 15 degrees (supposed to be 22 tomorrow).

Day off tomorrow and we play Saskatchewan on Friday. Starting XI below...

Well deserved win today against a stingy New Brunswick team that sat back and defended well. It was a windy day that made for some tricky conditions. It wasn't until the 65th minute when we were able to break the deadlock. Day off tomorrow for the crew, which means a team dinner on crescent street tonight.

The pitch was fantastic. Large playing surface and high quality turf. The officiating crew from Ontario was also very good.

We play Saskatchewan on Friday at 10:00AM Pacific Time which should be a more stern test. Not guaranteed a spot to knockout phase just yet. A Saskatchewan win over New Brunswick will do that. I'm sure reedie will have some stuff to add after he stops chatting up the birds from Ontario.

I didn't know Turkistan FC had a team in the NWT.
