RF, I just dont rate Ferguson as Rangers' Captain quality. The recent "shhhhhhh" goal celebration to the Rangers' support confirmed that for me. Selfish.

Butcher, Gough, Greig, yes. Ferguson? Nope.

Bucky, I got news for you pal...nobody on this team is "Rangers Class," never mind a blinking captain. :(

here's hoping we can turn over a few rocks and come up with another Hutton type, and management don't find a way to push young Fleck out the door once he comes to any sort of prominence.

Bye Bye Bazza and Mc Shaggy..... We're having a laugh...... Thought the pics of the two of them sporting the V sign totally out of order at the Iceland game. At least Mc Shaggy can find work in the porn ind. Bazza on the other hand was always a little p rick. Good on Rankers for suspending them for two weeks. Hail Hail

Here's my honest to goodness thoughts.

The two have acted like babies full stop.

That being said, were they flashing the V's on sitting there and these are opportunistic snaps with a camera? Looking at those two pictures it is not out of the realm of possibility that these two lumpheads could have made these poses. I'm sure I have done that while sitting on my arse doing feck all for 2 hours too.

We all know and are aware of the loathing that is directed at both Rangers and Celtic, their supporters and players througout all of the rest of scotland and most of the UK. There are axes to be ground.

It is a kick in the baws talent wise to Scotland. Gordon is dodgy at best and doesn't get games at sunderland, McShagger is a pretty decent keeper who is playing lots of games and is in form for Gers.

We all know how enigmatic yet talented Baz is and both these guys would be missed dearly (from a pure footballing perspective) in Africa.

Who do these guys think they are? A disgrace is an understatement. MacGregor - well, ok. Dont have much an expectation for him. But the Rangers captain? Oh dear. And this is after being on the front page for a booze up. The only way the first episode doesnt resonate is if you're a NED.

NEDS, NEDS, NEDS. RF and Guinness - apology please.

LeGuen saw this upon arrival. Tried to stamp it out. Instead, he was kicked out. PSG now have to suffer LeGuen's expectaions on professionalism. They've gone from relegation zone to possible Champions' League place. Clearly, he's a shite bag.

Ferguson was transfer listed. Hope he goes with Boyd and McGregor. If it's at50% value of pre-a$$hole display, so be it. In fact, that will be a fantastic bit of business. That would rid the club of the Ned clique and allow footballers be footballers. Who knows, maybe we could win a fcuking trophy.

Im fcuking sick with disappointment. Rangers' skipper? He's not a good enough character to captain Cambuslang Rangers.

Yes! Agree from a Rangers point of view.

Getting these three controversial pieces of rubbish out of Murray Park and Ibrox should be priority one.

I am still not sold on Le Guen. we are looking at two polar opposites. there has to be some solid middle ground.

Get these guys out of there. bring in some promising youngsters with any of the cash and try to rebuild.

Celtic and Rangers are both diamonds and poison for Scottish Football. time to be more Diamond than Poison.

I'm sorry perhaps I don't follow the going ons of the SPL as closely as others but why does this merit a lifetime ban from international duty? Is this "yet another" incident by these two?

Sure the gesture is obscene to some but a lifetime ban? That seems quite harsh...I have tried to read the stories on ESPN Soccernet, BBC.co.uk etc. and I cannot for the life of me figure out how this deserves such extreme punishment.

Yes and No Bergamascho.

Barry Ferguson has a history of being "Mr. I'm Rangers and If you don't like it I'm taking my baw and goin home"

He had a spat with Monsiuer Le Guen when he came to Rangers after a successful spell in Management in France and ultimately Le Guen lost the battle of Rangers with Barry.

Mcgregor has always been one of Baz' sheep, along with Krissy Boyd and a few others.

Time for a revolution at Ibrox.

Having enablers like McCoist around cannot help much. he was a legend on the park, but his legend off the park with Gazza cannot be a good influence on today's gers.

Hopefully he is up on the soapbox in the locker room at Murray Park today screaming for all to hear how good he could have been if he had stayed at a distance from booze and the like.

It is too "loosey goosey" as far as fitness and such in Scotland, and that is why the "level" has dropped so drastically there.

In around the mid 90's Scottish Football fell off the map. It is because while the rest of the world were developing like other professional sports, with their players becoming true athletes that took care of their bodies and were "fit" year round, Scotland sadly lagged behind, in fact, may have never made a step at all.

Look at how hockey changed in the 90's. Players used to come to training camp to get in shape. Now everyone comes to camp in shape and to battle for jobs.

If your leadership acts like this, swift and harsh punishment must be brought down as a better form of leadership.

A bit over the top maybe on the 'lifetime' ban but the two of them are spolied fcuking halfwits and it was disrespectful and shameful.
What else are the SFA and Rangers to do?

I can't believe they did it actually...
Pair of tits.

Are you fcuking kidding me?
He lived in a different era for fcuk's sakes man.

I'm sure the health bit and all he'll preach but make an example of this?

Yes, those 9 in a row trophies and the European Golden Boot surely must be a bad influence on these young Rangers who probably idolized him when he played.

McCoist never disrespected his Club or Country.

True, ally would have never done anything like this if he was shown the pine on game day instead of a place in the starting 11.

what i am meaning to say is that I hope he is preaching, to those lads who idolize him, that this is not the time or place to act like retards like Baz and shagger done.

A different era is right, but what i am driving at is: Is it truly a different era in Scotland? because if it is, Baz and Shagger must have missed the memo, clearly.

Also, have done some googling and it is obvious to me that Baz and shagger were not mis represented with regards to the Vicky's.

Baz has apologized at length already, and has made no claims to the notion that any gestures were taken out of context.

What next?

Got it. This is more a case of ongoing slacking and flippant attitudes from some bad apples.

As someone who really doesn't follow the Scottish game I was baffled as to why these two would be banned for the gesture but now it makes some sense. Thanks for the clarification.

:wa:

Please note that was my 69th post...Apparently I would be in good company with these two muppets for pointing that out!

as far as a lifetime ban, the more i think about this it is too much.

A fine? Yes
a suspension? yes
a lifetime ban? surely not.

Baz is one of the few players that donate all of their appearances fees and per diems for Nat's team duty to charity. The others stuff it in their jeans.

also it is being bandied about (love that phrase :D ) that Hutton, Fletcher, Teale and one other were also up late on the bender, why were Baz and Shagger the only ones binned?

Hutton had a stormer.

Interesting times......

Why those two were singled out will probably never be fully made aware. Story is that those two had a row with Burley after he 'caught' them still at the bar at noon.
There's usually more to this stuff, but the Tartan Army made it clear where they stood when there names were called out as subs. I'm sure that has something to do with it as well.
They would have been fine if they could have just sucked it up, took their place on the bench and backed the team that was on the pitch. But no! They had to make a mockery of Scotland and Rangers, who they are also representing. Absolute tubes!!!!

I'm not sure if a lifetime ban is warranted, given Ferguson's lengthy apologies, but the fact remains that he acted like a wee boy that never got the present he wanted on Christmas morning. He's the captain of our country and Rangers. Act bloody accordingly!!
He probably thought he could get away with the gesture knowing at that time he was only demoted to the bench. Could a man ever get it more wrong!

Bottom line, the country comes first. You never put your own benefit before that. Ever. End of.

As for Nailed To His Line.....get him tae.....I disagree that Gordon is questionable. He's arguably the best keeper we have ever produced. There's more to the not getting a game for Sunderland and at the end of the day, he has never let Scotland down. McGregor I could give a toss about....Ferguson, while I feel for him, has made his bed.

Moving on.....

C'mon Scotland ya beauty!!!!!!!!!!!!

Supposedly the Mhedia in the West of Scotland have said Baz and Shagger were singled out of the group as they never went to Burley to apologize before the Shite hit the fan, whereas the others did. That is why they were dropped.

Sounds dubious at best to me.

That being said I am not trying to make any excuses for their continued childish antics.
