Yes it is!

These are the WAB rankings, and they are affiliated to the SirM rankings. And a promotional gimmick is to always use the higher ranking of the 2 polls when promoting a matchup.

We'll sell you the entire seat, but you'll only need the edge!!!!!
#1 vs #3 be there!!!!!!

SCK there is a lot of Baptisms, birthdays coming up, how is Inter going to field a team in the next couple of weeks? They should get some of there A Team players from the Lions to play next year.

Hose: We'll be fine. Worry about yourself and the chit chat in the locker room. Sounds like there are a few disgruntled guys on your team. Not surprising though...

Ok, another week has gone by, and there have been some notable events. Such as Dickens wanting to take a picture of Sir M's taxi ride home shoes, for example. But on the Master's football front, teams, much like a certain West Van #12 player are now posturing before the upcoming tournament. Further, some determinations were made on the weekend, some trophies awarded, and staff advise there is now but one Provincial Cup spot up for grabs. So that is all good, but not particularly relevant at this point. More importantly now though, we shall go forth with this week's edition of:

Sir M's Excellent Power Rankings:

1. S.F.C. Rangers (FVSL. Last week’s rank: 2. WAB rank: 3). This side are the FVSL Champions this year, and the current holder of the Masters Provincial Cup, and are really good in the air. They have drawn the VMSL Champions in the first round at Ambleside on Friday the 11th of April, and are currently favourites in that game, staff report.

2. UVIC Alumni. (VISL. Last week's rank:4. WAB rank: not ranked). First off, staff would like to apologize for stating that this side came from the FISL in last week's rankings. Apparently staff spent a bit too much time visiting one of the Peg "physiotherapist" brothers up in Tofino before filing their report, just two weeks before he flies back into West Van. But newly recruited staff member (great to have a staff member on board from across the Straight who is not a gong show) Vick West reports that this side has done the Island Double this year, and...? They play another VISL team, Nanaimo, in the first round of the BCs. Will be a force and should not be overlooked, staff advise.

3. West Van F.C. (VMSL. Last week’s rank: 3. WAB rank: 1). This side holds their spot after defeating Columbus for the VMSL title on Sunday, and in the process are able to leave that trophy at Ambleside this year. Have had a dream draw (if you are a spectator) against FVSL Champs SFC Rangers in the first round of the BCs, and next up is a friendly against the WVFC A side on Saturday at the Boulevard. Staff report that the WVFC A side is so afraid of the old boys that their manager cannot bear to attend this match.

4. Columbus F.C. (VMSL. Last week’s rank: 1. WAB rank: 1). Columbus drops after their loss on Sunday. The Provincial Cup tournament is the last chance for this team to win a trophy this year, and staff like their chances, especially if they have enough starters of age. They are drawn in the first round against the winner of Peace Arch Utd. and the mighty green of Aldergrove.

5. Westside F.C. (VMSL. Last week’s rank: 6. WAB rank:6). Westside won the League Cup on Sunday over Inter in PKs (on behalf on staff, congrats to Westside on that). Are on a crash course to meet Columbus in their side of the draw: if they can beat Inter again in the opening round of the BCs.

6. Sapperton Rovers (VMSL. Last week’s rank: 5. WAB rank:4). This team has as good of a lineup as there is in Master's football. They have not been playing much of late, which may be a concern. Or not. They are up against Nordic in the first round of the Provincials. Staff member WAB advises that this time his team is well rested and are going to give this real tournament a real go. As inspiration, they have been watching Prison Break.

7. Delta Metro United (FVSL. Last week's rank: 9. WAB rank: 5). This team, reminiscient of Dickens on Friday eve, absolutely hammered Mission on the weekend to win the FVSL Masters Cup, and move up two spots. Sir M unfortunately did not notice Coach out at Byrne Creek on Sunday, but did notice big Ian from DMU on the near sideline. They get Vantreights at home in their first game, and judging by the draw, have to be favourites to reach the semifinal from the bottom half of the top side of the BCs draw.

8. ICSF Inter (VMSL. Last week’s rank: 10. WAB rank: 7). This team moves up a couple of spots after a hard fought Cup Final loss on Sunday. They get a rematch in the first round of the BCs. Probably need to avoid a shootout in that one.

9. Cliff Ave. United (VMSL. Last week’s rank: 7. WAB rank:HR(?). This side needs to pick it up now, and get some guys out, or at least they do in round two if they go through. They have drawn Vikings in the first round away. Sir M may watch that match, as it is in easy walking distance.

10. Vantreights (VISL. Last week's rank: 8: WAB rank: not ranked). These guys lost a final by a 4-2 margin to UVIC on the weekend. They are in the BCs, and they must travel to Delta, which is about as enjoyable as root canal work.

11. VicWest. (VISL. Last week's rank: 11. WAB rank: not ranked). This team has drawn a road trip over to North Van, hopefully in half of a doubleheader for those Masters fans out there, against Coveside.

12. Aldergrove United (FVSL. Last week’s rank: 13. WAB rank: not ranked). This team has an all or nothing playoff against PAU to see who plays Columbus in the first round of the BCs.

13. Peace Arch United (FVSL. Last week’s rank: 14. WAB rank: not ranked). See immediately above, but a late (unconfirmed) report from staff is that they have handled Aldergrove lately, it seems. I guess it depends on your definition of handle.

14. Nanaimo F.C. (VISL. Last week's rank: 15. WAB rank: not ranked). This side is a bit of, much like Moneyman's yearly income, an unknown quantity. But we do know that they must travel out of Nanaimo down to Victoria for their first round game of the BCs. Good news for both teams.

15. Coveside F.C. (NSCL. Last week's rank: 16. WAB rank: not ranked). This team were snowed out on Sunday. They, as do other NSCL teams, still have league games to play. They host VicWest first round of the BCs. They have a shot, if they wake up (and no that was NOT a reference to their erudite manager's remedy for a post-St. Patrick's day hangover).

16. Vikings (NSCL. Last week's rank: 17. WAB rank: not ranked). They have drawn a home game against Cliff Avenue in the first round of the BCs.

17. Nordic F.C. (NSCL. Last week's rank: 18. WAB rank: not ranked). This team has drawn another tough away game in the BCs this year, this time away at Sapperton.

So, that is it for this week. Next week, perhaps a finalized pre-BCs rankings. If not, for you SMEPR fans out there, the next rankings will be in two week's time, at which time, we will be down to eight.
