It's looking close, and a big win for GFC this weekend. Although we (Greencaps) were extremely disappointed to see that the GFC boys decided to default their CAT game as we were looking for the to do us a favor in our close battle at the end of the season. :(

Sorry 'bout that lads - we would have liked to have helped fellow paddies, but we were stretched pretty thin. Our only gk (me) got back on sat. night. Quite a few others were the same. we would have had 9 or 10 players... wasn't worth it.

CAT is becoming stronger because of the high demand to be in Div 3. A lot of teams who can't fit into Div 3 are entering CAT as an alternative, ourselves included. As a result, some of the teams are ambitious and are looking to compete.

Winning CAT doesn't guarantee you anything, but it certainly puts you in a better position for being considered for a Div 3 spot next year. And, it also means people underestimate us in the Cup...
