Wow, talk about class of the league!!! This must be pretty impressive for all those Horseman out there padding their stats!! What did Eagles feel sorry to let one goal in?? Betcha the Flying Horseman can't wait till next week???

I disagree with teams scoring 13 goals (sorry Eagles) however, the VMSL seemed a bit conservative as to their appetite for letting this team enter at a different level than Div. 3. I would still like to see the Flying Horses vs Roma match though. Sir M.

So, since the horses seem to win every game in double digits, why don't you toss a few hundred dollars to the Surrey Div 2 team who hasn't won a game and trade places? They do that in mens rec hockey. No sense in wasting a year beating teams that bad.

Why didn't you guys buy out Lobbans dissolved Div 1 spot?

In other non-horsey Div 3 news, we ended up with a 1-1 draw with Burnaby Wolves. Not a bad result considering our starting sweeper and keeper sitting out on cards, but a game that could have been won.

They got theirs in the first half on a defensive brain fart when we let their striker waddle through the middle unmolested and pop it under our backup backup keeper (the crazy half-Iranian nut who wears a mouthguard but won't wear gloves). 1-0 about 15 minutes in.

Had our first chance to tie it up when we were pressing and Levi got chopped down from behind in the box. Penalty shot with an easy conversion sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1, right? Wrong. Apparently enough players from both teams encroached upon the shot that Mr. Ref wanted a retake. Result: ball squarely into the keeper's chest for a rebound that was hammered almost straight up. No tying goal.

It took us until almost 40 minutes into the second half before we were able to crack them with a broken play off a corner kick that bounced around in their box until Dave toe-poked it into the corner. This sent their keeper into an apoplectic fit as he screamed at his mates for the rest of the game and beyond "where's my other post?" over and over...

Net result 1-1. Next week our chance to take our frustrations out on the Goo Boys, who are owed payback for our first game loss when we had to play short due to a lack of bodies...

We will do whatever the VMSL wants us to do. I am sure Rainforest would be in the same boat.

Rumor that Rainforest lost?? Sir M - can you confirm. Sitting in Maui with Ging, Grange, Burrzy have a cold beer in 85 degree weather. Kind of miss the rain in Van.

I think the score on the VMSL site was posted incorrectly - it should read 2-1 in favour of Rainforest over Burnaby.

Horses won 3-1. I am told that the fact JAGS, Eagles, and league leading scorer JVD being absent made a difference. And I am also told that Bro being away was huge.
