Premier [FVSL Premier] Results & Banter November 2008

ACBC Premier had a friendly set up for tonight with Inter VMSL and because we just found out we have a Cup game tomorrow (Thursday) we had to let our Div 2 team play the game,,Hammered we would get we thought,But with not one single Premier player on the field our guys held the lead till the 75 min and then 2 quick goals to beat us 2-1..Ya they carried the play,,but I am very very proud of our young guys who played their hearts out and almost pulled out a huge upset...Now if we could only play like that every game,LOL

any time a game is abandoned because of a serious injury the score or the run of play takes second place we all have to go to work or school on monday but one guy from poco wont be nuff said

heard thru the grapevine that the poco/geu game was called
after tim harris was injured. no tackle, just a bad roll- team
officials have claimed it to be a "lower body injury".

too bad for the big man, wish him all the best for a speedy recovery

No offense to Tim, i'm sure it's painful but was the game abondoned for him rolling his ankle? Was it broken?

Must have been a nasty roll or serious ligament damage (ie: CP's injury from Dewdney)

one foot went over the ball the other planted in the turf, he was screaming before he hit the deck he heard and felt a snap in his ankle.
so at the time no one knew if it was bone or lig that went.
i know there is a stirup lig in there goes kind of under the foot and up each side of the ankle i think thats what went but to what degree we dont know yet.
i could be way off but ive seen a few injury's over the years and thats what it looke like to me.
i'm sure we will be updated soon
poco scored 10 mins in and with 21 mins to go we were coming on strong and this happened.

a) the injury to tim
b) floodlights being on a timer
c) the terrible weather
d) cantona is a twat

a and b. if the ambulance had gotten there in a certain time we would have finished the game. the weather wasnt really that bad at the time of the injury, probly the nicest it had been all game
